New to Pokemon TCG - Improving a Theme Deck

Hi , im new in pokemon tcg im looking for some help :]

I know everyone say starters deck are not good, its alright
but i bought my first deck , Night Striker and i want some advice on how to improve my deck
i want to play and them when i get experience with this deck, i will build a really good competitive deck

Welcome! To start off, play a couple games using your theme deck just so you get a feel for the game. If you want to move onto something a little better, the Battle Arena decks are great! They contain some very important cards that you can use when you make a competitive deck, and are just a lot better than theme decks in general. A new one, featuring Rayquaza and Keldeo Ex is coming out later this month.

If you want to start making a competitive deck, there are a few staple cards used in almost every deck that I recommend you save up for / buy now. These are:

4x Ultra Ball - Fates Collide

4x VS Seeker - Phantom Forces

4x N - Fates Collide

4x Professor Sycamore - BREAKpoint

And finally, the most expensive card in the game right now: at LEAST 2x Shaymin Ex - Roaring Skies
