Ruling New VMAX mechanic

Is there any information pertaining to VMAX that denotes it specifically as an evolution?

I was wondering because of VMAX Snorlax, which could definitely benefit from not only being searchable from evolution incense, but also from TAE, which only evolved pokemon can use.

looking at the English VMAX cards revealed so far, they say "evolves from ___" and are stage VMAX, so cards looking for evolutions or VMAX specifically should be able to get them, we'll need to see the English wording of evolution incense to be sure it can be used for that though.

not sure which card TAE is though.

TAE is short for Triple Acceleration Energy

Unless there's something misleading about the card design or a radical shift from how terms and mechanics have been applied in the past, "V-Max" will be its own Stage of Evolution, joining Basic,Stage 1, Stage 2, BREAK, Mega, and Restored. The English language image of Snorlax V-Max says "Evolves from Snorlax-V" and "V-Max" is printed where the "Stage" should be printed. Less the hyphens, of course; I'm just assuming that - like Pokémon-EX and Pokémon-GX - there will be a hyphen that won't actually show up in card names on cards but which will show up in official writings about them, or maybe even card text.

Unless V-Max Pokémon somehow can Evolve from something but not count as Evolved, Triple Acceleration Energy should be an option.
