As per title, any idea as to what we should do when Uxie gets rotated out?

What are we going to use to draw them hands? Lucky Egg?

I first though of Magnazone prime but it doesn't suit every deck and it would be a pain to setup a stage 2 just to make up for good old Setup.

The loss of Uxie is something that's going to devastate most of our gameplay but it's going to happen along with the loss of Luxury Ball, Azelf, and a whole bunch of mighty Storm Front cards who haven't seen a reprint.

What are your thoughts? It's always good to have early preparations.

Well the rules will change when they get rotated so it might become easier to setup since we can use T/S/S on the first turn. And we might get something that will replace uxie LA as draw power and rotom UD can replace azelf LA.

Rotom with alpha lithograph (TR) is a great combo to see several prises and put the top deck to have them when you need them.

It is a bit too early, don't you think? After all, we still have 2 (3 if you count the August set) sets to wait for, see what they bring us. And since we got no clue what the rotation will be due to those B/W rules and the Japanese rotation...
Also, GOOD RIDDANCE to SF once it finally leaves. That set opens up so many lame cheap donk decks it ain't even funny anymore.

^ hey man some people run Gyarados decks lol. anyways,

how can Rotom UD replace Azelf? It's blind swapping with top deck card as far as I know?

Read the new Alph Litograph and you'll know.

And yeah, some run Gyarados. A lot of folks also run Machamp, Gengar and Sableye. I can't wait till those die.

FYI I run Magnezone.

o SNAP! that means the new Litho is going to be a hot cake! Now we just need a Trainer ver. of Pokemon Communication/Bebe Search or Luxury Ball to make it flow.
Not as efficient as Azelf though. Lou, seeing your makes me feel like I got a kick in the nuts.... had like 4+ Rotom UD but gave them all away and I only have 1 now.

Nooooo. Rotom and Alph will never replace Azelf. So much more inconvenient. Alph doesn't let you rearrange your prize cards like Azelf does. Rotom puts it on TOP of the deck instead of in your hand, which wastes time. Also, who know what card you're putting back into the prizes? Rotom and Alph take two cards, meaning the combination is harder to find and unless you run more cards of them than you had to with Azelf, it just won't work (chances of one of them being in prizes isn't that low). And of course, Rotom and Alph are a rare and a secret rare. A LOT harder to find than just a rare. The only thing I think Rotom and Alph has going for it is that it can retreive any prize card.
I don't think it'll see a whole lot of play, to be honest. I sure won't use it; I'd rather just not run one of an important card so it won't get stuck in my prizes.

People are so ready to replace the cards they have. That isn't how you survive a rotation guys! We never got a replacement for Holon Engine. We never got a replacement for Claydol Engine. Be creative. The AlphTom thing is fine... but kinda pointless. Doesn't Tom put the card on top of your deck? That means you ALSO need to draw a card. Not worth it IMO. Next, I can foresee decks becoming very trainer heavy (or VileTomb). With so many searchy and drawy trainers, we're going to see our format speed up a bit. Uxie will be missed, but that just means we're gonna have to have more draw cards. Right now, one can get away with having Uxie and Judge as their only draw. That won't work in the next format.

Like Lou said, it is far too early to judge. Perhaps we see a new version of Claydol? Who knows?

It is then time for Lucky egg and Twins. I draw up until I have seven in my hands, and plus, I search for two cards. Combine it with Jirachi: 3CARDS. OMG!!!

Zero will, once againg desagree with me...

Guys don't worry about it, when uxie goes out it goes out. We just play the game like we did before Uxie/Claydol.

Pokeman, as far as I know, that was very T/S/S based. With more VileGar decks running around, that won't work well, will it? (I forgot that VileGar won't be around after rotation, but Vileplume still will be [and people will find a way to use it because of the new B/W rule]) And Supporters, you can only run four. (Same with trainers, but VileGar makes it even worse) I see Magnezone Prime as the next drawpower. It's not as hard as it looks to set up, and, most decks will use the cards that they draw, making room for more cards to draw the next turn. I know a lot of people in my area see potential for Magnezone Prime, as well. I'll be stocking up.

And, Lou Cypher, if I interpreted

correctly, then, MAGNEZONE BUDDIES!

Vilegar won't be around anymore after rotation (it loses the gar of vilegar) unless you run Mismagius (UD) which can be KO'd easier. Also, now that we know we are getting a February filler set, maybe something to aid us next season will be reprinted. Regardless right now it looks like next season will be a rather varied and fun one (unless Black & White ends up doing what SP did to the meta).

When Uxie = out
rockinpikachu = Happy!
really though it does not matter, they will make new cards eventually.
I am hoping for the next rotation to be either arceus and up or HGSS and up.
I just want luxchomp gone :D

@Scizor: Erm, Alph does let you rearrange your prizes.... not to mention with the new note-taking rules, you really don't have to.

Hey SFs a great set lol. Although I HATE Gyarados (It's a really boring deck to play for me) everything else in the set is pretty rogue or playable. It gave birth to Regigigas, Magnezone, etc. which are fun decks.

On topic, we still have two more sets before worlds, but what's gonna happen is stuff like Dodrio SV or Staraptor FB X. More draw T/S/S like Pokedex aren't bad either, as the need for Bebe's and Collector won't be as high if Uxie isn't searched out by them. So those cards and Uxie will be replaced by cards like Pokedex. Besides, who really cares if Uxie's out, every deck will lose Uxie and Charizard will really be the only deck with an actual draw engine lol.

Also, we could just use start cards in decks that normally wouldn't use them like Spiritomb or Jirachi RR.

Like Zero said, a lot of decks have fine drawpower without Uxie. My Mew/Rhyperior gets a T2 set up doing at least 100 damage each turn (Although I usually get 150-250, but sometimes I luck out) and I run 4 Collector and 4 Smeargle UD. That's it.

We all cry as the huge trainer lists in decks rises even higher. 12 pokemon (4-4 plus a 2-2 support line), 8 energy... and 40 trainers.

@kaorusquee: From what I heard, Alph doesn't let you rearrange your prizes. Just judging by what everyone in my League has said. But as you said, it wouldn't really matter anyways, it just makes it a tad more inconvenient. My main points are those I made besides that.

Prizes are private knowledge like the contents of your deck so arrangement doesn't matter, also you can rearrange after azelf and theres no text there saying you can

I know there's no text saying you can, but this is just what I heard. If what I heard is correct, it must be because you're moving prize cards anyways, but I wouldn't know. And if you use Azelf or Alph, arrangement could matter if you forget pencil/paper to write it down...
