Nidoking TR Tank deck (ft. Nidoqueen and Nidoking, from RR)

4-3-4 NidoranM/Nidorino/Nidoking (3TR, 1 RR)
3-3-3 NidoranF/Nidorina/Nidoqueen (2RR, 1 RR)
2 Uxie
2 Spiritomb
1 Unown Q

25 pokemon

T/S/S:

2 Warp Point
2 PONT
1 Luxury Ball
4 Bebe's Search
2 Pokemon Communication
3 Pokemon Collector
3 Rare Candy
2 BTS

19 T/S/S

Energy:

7 Fighting Energy
3 Psychic Energy
2 Rainbow Energy
4 DCE

14 Energy

Total: 58 cards

The plan is this:

1. Get Nidoking triumphant out;
2. Get Nidoking RR on the bench - helping the nidoking TR deal damage while tanking
3. Get Nidoqueen RR on the bench, healing Nidoking - which synergizes with Nidoking RR helping Nidoking TR dealing more damage through Nidoking RR's body due to Nidoking TR living longer.

Nidoking TR's 80 damage attack + 10 with poison... for four energies... is low. But, with an expert belt, it becomes 100+10 (enough to OHKO the SP Lv. X's) while 100 + 10 is enough to ohko gengar with the 10 poison damage.

I run a large number of supporters and trainers - so I added Lookers (x2) to be able to (theoretically) clear my hand of trainers when vsing Vileplume/Spiritomb.

Questions:

1. I plan to run the Nidoran Male from TR, and the Nidoran F from TR. However, they have 50hp each and 2x weakness to Psychic, making them easy targets for donks. Should I run one/only Nidoran M/F from RR, because they have a +10 weakness to psychic, instead. (Also, Nido F has 60 hp instead of 50.)

2. What should I remove/replace to add in a starter? I notice that I do not have any starter pokemon in the deck, which would make it difficult to not get my pokemon knocked out on the second turn consistantly. I was thinking of running 2-3 spiritomb; but your input is greatly appreciated.

P.S, I do have 4 Bebes, 4 Communication, 4 Pokedex, etc - but I removed some to fit more cards into the deck. I also have a range of other tss like sages training, seeker, lost remover, etc - which I'm not playing.

I haven't played this deck yet - I am only now starting the game again and I am using this deck to tide me over until the rotation when I am going to play Gengar/Lost World (I got all of the trainers for a gengar deck, but then realized it was too expensive... so now I'm running this cheaper one)

I've played this deck before, and People's thoughts when they see a 200hp Nidoking running Rampant is always fun!

Most definitely I'd run the deck with spiritombs and make it supporter heavier. This deck is slow in nature, so might as well slow down your opponent whilst setting up. Here are just my suggestions.

-1 Junk Arm
-2 Lookers
-1 Interviewer's Question
-3 Communication
-3 Pokedex Handy
-3 {P}

+4 Spiritomb AR
+1 Unown Q
+1 Bebe's Search
+1 Pokemon Collector
+1 BTS
+1-0-1 Nidoking (TM) line
+3 Rainbow Energy

Rainbow is more flexible in the deck, and you're going to heal the damage counter off with Maternal comfort anyhow. I've never tried the RR Nidoking in the deck, but honestly, I'd rather just start setting up a second one on the Bench. IF you want to run the RR Nidoking, then I'd suggest him as a 4th Nidoking, and not as part of your 3 you have written in.

Have fun with the deck! It's a blast to play!

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I only own 3 collectors, so I'll have to keep 3 as my maximum. I took your advice and added spiritomb/unown q; I added 1-0-1 nidoking and the rainbow energy and removed the other supporters.
