  • x4 Jotik
    x4 Lampent
    x4 Pumpkaboo
    x3 Mew EX
    x1 Mr. Mime
    x1 Jirachi EX
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums:33

  • x4 Battle Compressor
    x3 Bicycle
    x2 Escape Rope
    x1 Startling Megaphone
    x1 Town Map
    x3 Ultra Ball
    x2 VS Seeker
    x3 Muscle Band
    x1 Xerosic
    x2 Lysandre
    x3 N
    x4 Professor Juniper
    x1 Skyla
    x3 Dimension Valley
    x1 Computer Search
Energy:9

  • x4 Double Colorless Energy
    x3 Psychic Energy
    x2 Lightning Energy

Strategy:

This deck has a very simple strategy. Try to get nine Pokemon with the attack Night March into the discard pile as quickly as possible by using Battle Compressor, Juniper, Ultra Ball, and Computer Search. Then you want to be attacking with either Mew, Pumpkaboo, or Joltik. Mew, to copy everyone's attacks, Pumpkaboo, gives up one prize and does better against Psychic weak Pokemon, or Joltik, who attacks for one less energy, gives up 1 prize, and is good against Lightning weak Pokemon (Yveltal). Mr. Mime is to block benched damage since we will have Joltik on the bench. Jirachi EX is a great card, let's you search for a Supporter. But I am a little hesitant using it because of a Target Whistle/Lysandre combo. I run Xerosic as my Enhanced Hammer/Tool Scrapper because of Seismitoad EX being popular. And finally, Dimension Valley is so I can attack for less with Mew or Pumpkaboo.

Any feedback would be helpful!

Instead of jirachi ex, you could add another skyla that lets you search for any trainer rather than only a supporter. If you use a Skyla instead, it also diminishes the possibility of your opponent gaining two prize cards.only drawback is the fact that it is another supporter card that you can only use one of per turn, but it is still better than jirachi ex because what if you need an item instead of a supporter?

RE: Night March! (Joltik / Lampent /Pumpkaboo / Mew EX)

I think you should keep the Jirachi EX in the deck. Its just a great support pokemon that gives you another way out of dead hands. I didnt even think of using Latias EX in the deck, how does that work for you. I run the deck without skyla and i run 4 bicycle and it has been very consitstant for me.

How about 1 skyla and 3 bicycle? I don't know how good Latias is in this deck because I don't have all the cards for the deck, but, since this deck has no counter to pyroar, I was thinking about having something in here that could counter it. The other options was to run the Celebi/Gourgeist Variant or to have a 2-1-1 line of Flareon, and Leafeon. But Latias seemed like it would be a better option. If you could, please test it out, and tell me how well it did it's job.

RE: Night March! (Joltik / Lampent /Pumpkaboo / Mew EX)

I am also doing a night march:
+1 Gourgeist (Helps against Pyroar. Even though it is pretty much an auto loss, sometime people play one to be annoying so just 1 gourgeist might be good. But I can see myself taking it out soon. Just a thought)
+1 Professor Juniper

-2 Xerosic (I usually want my supporters to use junipers to help discard night marchers.)

But I like the latias ex to counter pyroar as well. However it may be better to take the auto loss in some cases and try to escape rope and Lysandre around them.

Why take out the Xerosic? In the instance your trapped by Seismitoad & Garbodor, this is a good counter. But, still taking the considerations in, I'll do this.

-1 Xerosic
+1 Juniper

Yea, good idea. I honestly would get rid of Latias EX because I doubt it would be enough to counter Pyroar.

I would take out the Latias EX and 2 fire energy to add 3 more Psychic energy.

I'll do this:

-1 Latias EX
-2 Fire Energy

+1 Escape Rope
+2 Electric Energy

Good plan. And don't really expect many Pyroars as Pyroar will probably be kind of dead since mega manectric EX is going to be played to easily one shot it.

RE: Night March! (Joltik / Lampent /Pumpkaboo / Mew EX)

I disagree. I find that the new Pyroar that premiered in Phantom Forces as well as Battle Compressor actually makes Pyroar one of the top decks that I expect to see. The new Pyroar can turn any Blacksmith into two Lysandre and that's a little broken, considering.

How do you deal with Seismitoad or Plasma deck match-ups?

I saw 3 games in which my friend played his Plasma deck (even without Lugia EX) against a player running a Night March deck - my friend easily won all 3 games. My friend used Lysandre's Trump Card quite effectively. In the match-up against the Seismitoad deck, the opponent's NM deck's Items could not be played... Again, the NM deck player lost those 2 games.

I too expect that Pyroar decks will not go away any time soon either. There are several counters being planned for Manectric EX. :)

I plan to beat Plasma by using Mew to take out Deoxys. Even though Joltik as 30 hp, a DCE and 5 Night March Pokemon in the discard pile take out Lugia. While I might be helpless against Seismitoad, I can still use Quaking Punch against them. I also can Lysandre out certain cards if I can't knock out Seismitoad. And, I can still use Juniper to discard Night March Pokemon, but it will be a lot slower.

What variant of the Night March deck did this player use? Mew EX, or Celebi/Gourgeist?

That's true. However, Night March decks will lose anyway with the new Pyroar or not. (Mew EX variant)

So if there is a lot of Pyroars in your area, use the Gourgeist/Celebi version

He used the Mew EX variant. Plasma deck player KOd both while they were benched.

Well, I guess the only thing I can do is test the deck out and make changes to it from there. That is when I get the cards.

Lightning Energy makes no sense in this deck. The only card that can use it has 30 HP and does 10 damage with the attack that requires it. Make those Psychic - or if you want to play the version with Flareon/Leafeon, make them one of those types so that you can use Energy Evolution if you're desperate. The good thing about Night March (even with Flareon/Leafeon) is that you pretty much only ever need colorless energy to attack so you can afford to make the energy line a little weird.

With Psychic, basically, you can stall for desperation paralysis with Mr. Mime and use Pumpkaboo's Ram or Mew's Replace. With Lightning, you can use Joltik's Gnaw. Neither of those is particularly useful though undoubtedly Psychic is preferable. Playing a variant with Eeveelutions, using energy types that match your Eeveelutions can let you evolve Eevee on the spot, which IMO becomes the preferred option.

Having said that - the Mew EX / Dimensional Valley ruling is something I haven't paid attention to (which I should, because I also want to play a Night March deck). If you can copy Virizion EX's Emerald Slash for (G), you may just want to run all Grass Energy and take advantage of any opposing Virizion to get some free energy acceleration. Very situational, but again ... the type of energy matters so rarely that it might be worth it. It's nice when your opponent has Virizion and you probably won't notice it when they don't.

Since Mew EX is fragile and has to KO EXs to not fall behind in the prize trade, attacking with Pumpkaboo is usually the superior option and having something like Flareon/Leafeon to back it up if you run out of Night Marchers is a good idea too. I know people like to play Mew in Night March decks but it's pretty risky to use as a regular attacker. Maybe reconsider the 3 count of it.
