No Japanese Cards.

I know that we wont be able to use any foreign cards in our decks, but what about the japanese people who come to worlds? Do they even sell english cards there? My friend and I were discussing this the other day, and felt it was a little unfair if theyre not allowed to use their home cards. And then they also have to learn english to play..

What if I have TWO native languages?? (Kidding).

I do plan on, at some point next season, running foreign language energy in my decks, just to see if I can get away with it. I got some Spanish and German energy laying around..

It's not as much about the translation (well, that's half of it) but even with energy it has a different back which is the biggest problem with it (I think).

Which is why I think the energy I have will pass; they are from Base Set and have the exact same back as every English card ever made.

what if someone from america wanted to use japanese cards?

As peetzaman noted, the backs are different. From what I gather, POP (or whoever runs this show) is trying to cut down on any possibility of cheating as much as possible.

In the U.S., I don't think you would be able to run a completely foreign language deck. However, at worlds, you might be able to. Maybe.
