Welcome to the first Artisan Cave Contest!​

Artisan Cave is a new clan focused on the artists of PokeBeach. You'll have to become a member before you can participate in this contest, but don't worry, we're currently accepting anyone who wants to join. If you'd like to join, and subsequently enter this contest read and follow the directions to becoming a member in our club. Major edit: You no longer have to join to enter the contest, buy you still may if you'd like to.

The judges for this contest are:

Now, for the details of the contest itself. The challenge will be for entrants to come up with a banner for our club, Artisan Cave: Home to the Smeargles of PokeBeach. That means it should be themed around, well, Artisan Cave. If you do not know what Artisan Cave is it's a cave that runs under the Battle Frontier in pokemon emerald. It's the one and only home to the unique painting pokemon, smeargle. I've provided a picture below for reference.

How entries are to be judged:
  • There will not be public voting, judges will decide amongst themselves what entry is best based on the following criteria.
  • Is is themed around Artisan Cave? It should be themed well, and there should be smeargle(s), don't be afraid to add other pokemon as well.
  • Is the size good? People don't want a banner that takes thier entire sig, they also don't want one too small.
  • Is the scene original? Try to put a new perspective on Artisan Cave.
  • Is the art original? Art made youself will be worth more that "official" art that you just modified, everyone has seen the Ken Sugimori smeargle before, make your own.
  • Is the quality of the art good? People will be proud to display this, make it good.

The deadline for this contest is the 5th of August, the winner will recive a personalized trophy made by Artisan Cave's top spriters for display in thier sig if they choose to.

You may both be judges, but only if you read "how the entries are to be judged" and agree to judge solely on those qualities.

Let's see.....I'm not a member of Artisan Cave, but, I'd like to be a judge. I've read over all the judging rules, so.....I was just wondering if you'd let me. I could be a judge for all the contests you do, too. Not just this one.

I'd prefer you become a member first, it's not like becoming a member will give you any responsibilities.

You may be a judge, but as I said before, just agree to judge only by those qualities listed.

Everyone who has applied for judge here is now a judge in this contest, you may not back out and you must judge fairly. Judge positions for this contest are now closed.

I think everyone who needs to see this has by now, but just in case... Bumping one last time, hopefully the next post will be an entry.
