Due to recent complications with blacklisting, it was decided that a policy should be established:

"Blacklists", in that sense, are no longer going to be allowed. Scammers will now be reported by the victims (either by posting in this thread, or by PMing Chariblaze or dmaster). Scamming is defined as giving you something you didn't ask for, without apologies, replies, excuses, and/or offers for a retrade. This will kind of work like the Dispute and Wall of Shame threads in the Trading Corner, or at least at first.

Now, if you know someone you don't want to trade with (no one is forcing you to trade) but isn't necessarily a scammer, put them on a "People I'm not trading with" list (creative, eh? Make up whatever name you want, that's just an example). This will keep them and scammers apart. Also, report a person on your list if they are demanding that they be removed (asking why they are on it isn't counted as demanding).

This policy is more of a test at the moment. If it works well, it will stay. If not, another one will be created. Suggestions are welcome. :)
 
What about those that don't explain their reasoning for not trading? I know 3 members here that do not want to trade with me but when I ask them why when I have never ripped them off they do not respond. I have done everything in my part to find out why but they never reply back. I find that to be very rude and I want to know why. I have never steered them wrong and in fact I had their Pokemon legit checked for them and they blacklisted me and now have me block because they did not believe me that it was a hack Farthermore they still claim to this day that it is legit when I had it checked on Pokemon Secure and is a hack. They don't seem to trust me and I don't know what to do and they claim I was being a pest when I was just trying to help. If you want to know who please PM me. Another system that works on another forum is that there is a "Master Blacklist" for all the scammers, hackers, DC'ers, and cheaters and your blacklist may link to that. You can have a personal "Do not trade" List, but it cannot be posted on your thread, because it causes conflicts with people.

There really isn't much we can do. We could give warnings, but that would make us look like jerks. We may make another list specifically for those people that deny an explanation in a bad tone (e.g., "You don't need to know", not a "I have my reasons, and I wish that they remain private".). We'll just have to cross those bridges when we get there.

That's what this is aiming to be, but we want to give people the right to have a list of people they simply don't want to trade with for whatever reason. We might change it a little so that the list has to include non-personal reasons, but again, we'll just have to cross those bridges when we get there. :)
 
Ah ok sounds good. but is sure rude on their part. That is all I have tosay other than they have me blocked I might add.:(

EDIT: What about the rules for trading hacks etc? Meaning yopu can trade them if the EV's are not AR'd or if their moveset is not hacked. Are we going to have rules for any kind of hack? I am asking because 90% of the Pokemon traded here are all hacks and the ones I got from this site before I joined Pokemon Secure were all hacked except for like 30 or 40 Pokemon and I had recently gotten about half my hacks replaced. I know a few members from Neoseeker and Secure that had joined here for about a month and now they refer this site as a pool of hacks due to the majority of the Pokemon being hacked. At the time when I first joined Secure I mentioned this to dmaster and he said " We are not interested in changing the rules at this time and will not be changing the rules as we like them as the way they are" I tried to help him change the rules so they are better and the chances of hacks will be less and those that don't like hacks will want to join. It is time to change these rule on hacks bucause right now the way they are written is "Trade at your own risk" That is how I see it right now. Is there going to be any rule changes for hacks anytime soon so this site will welcome more guests and they will want to join. The rules aren't specifically going to be changed, but a hacking policy will be established within a few days. Good to hear that your concerns match our plans.
 
I agree with Ash. I received hacked events for my legit events in the past, and I don't like it. Also, all AR info should be required to be listed on your thread.

Eg. What codes you use.
 
I have been wondering this for months because there are so many hacks traded here. Over 90% of Pokemon were hacked that I obtained. Since I joined Secure I have become a serious trader so yeah I hope something is done about all these hacks flying around and I should let you guys know that the hacks are coming from Project Pokemon and Pokemon database. Anyone who has an account there are on thin ice at Pokemon Secure meaning they are constantly being watched by the admins and mods there to make sure hacks are not traded there. Pokemon Secure is a hack free place. I want this sit to become hack free also. Well at least 90% hack free. Thanks for understanding why I am concerned. I have been waiting for a big change for 6 months or so now.:)
 
The only complaints I've ever had were people trading me hacks even though I've clearly stated in my thread that I don't accept hacks. But this is minor and usually ends up that they never knew it was a hack. (I've done that myself a few times. ) problems pine that are easily solved with a replacement pokemon or a tradeback.
 
These are the kinds of things that I am talking about. We have to do something about the hacks traded here. We have to do something at some point and also have a place where people can get there Pokemon checked and also enforce warnings and bans for knowingly trading a hack. The people that trade hacks need to have something done when they trade a hack. We are tired of all the hacks being traded. This place needs to have better rulings on hacks as well as better knowledge of the hacks being traded. Also what to look for in a hack because to a trader a hack is worthless and can't really be traded to someone with a legit one. Also those with the legit ones had to pay high to recieve it. From my experience of being a serious trader for only 6-8 months now means I do not want any hacks WHATSOEVER. It is time for this place to get serious about trading legit and turn the tables on trading legit rather than hacks. from experience of a serious trader THERE SHOULD BE NO HACKS TRADED HERE. Those who trade hacks should be warned and or baned from these forums and those that continue to do so will and or be blacklisted as well. This is what needs to happen. Update the rules and update the warning system to include the consequences for trading hacks. I got tired of hacks once I joined Secure and I hope this place becomes a hack free place soon. That is why I only trade with the few traders I know well that have been here awhile.:)
 
I don't think it's that big of a deal xxashxx. I get about 1 hack out of probably 20 trades. You may get more, but that is because you trade a whole lot, and for events. I make sure I ask twice before trading.

It's worked for me. I actually race hacks myself sometimes, but it is always in accident. I offer very fair agreements when I accidentally slip up like that.

That's what the current poll is for, so that we know the individual needs of every active trader before we establish anything. But you ideas are noted. If hacks were completely banned, activity would probably drop by half (that is, if you're counting AR clones as hacks), if these poll results are anything to go by.
 
Actually no that would not happen there. There actually would be more vistors and trading would increase. At Pokemon Secure All hacks are banned and there are almost 600 members as the site is realitively new still. There are members that have an account her but have left due to the majority of everything being hacked. They had been here for about a month and leard from me and a few members that are on Neoseeker and Secure that the majority of Pokemon are hacked here. They have left their accounts for that reason. If you want them to return we have to enforce a strict policy on hacks making the majority of hacks being at least 25% maximum at least. Also it would not hurt doing a background check right after they join the forums where the staff send out a PM with a Congratulations but before they can surf the forums they have to send the list of sites that he/she is on so the staff can check the records and if all goes well then they can become a member or if not that way then make it so they can't trade in the trading forums until the staff does a background check. Something has to be done in some fashion for this site will be a better place and members will want to join knowing that they can trade here without getting a hack from everyone. I got roughly 1 box of legit events here and the rest were hacks. Now that half of them have been replaced I am expecting this site to have less hacks than it has now. I hope somthing will be working out soon.:)
 
Pokemon secure has nothing to do with pokebeach.

If hacking goes away, we will lose probably 20%

But I cloning goes away, well we will lose like 90%.
We actually... Considering the fact that it is impossible to tell if something is a clone, if everyone lies ( like I would probably do) the % wouldn't drop.
 
From a Serious traders point of view like I have now yeah we need to lower the hack rate. Sure cloning is fine an all that but I am talking mainly about the edited hacks and those that purposely trade hacks. That is why there are so many hacks here and until now the mods here did not really care if they were hacks unless the EV's/IV's were hacked and therefore people have been getting away with trading hacks here. It has gone on for too long here. I have been here for 5 years now and it is time that the hacks start going a way. If we enforce something better we will loose about 10 percent maybe less. But it is time to start trading for legit rather than a hacks. We have way too many hacks traded here and so far this is the only site that I know of that does not have a legitament ruling on Hacks. The other 4 sites I am on have serious consequences for trading hacks. Safari: If you look at the other 4 boards I am on you will see that they have enforced rules on hacks. To see my list check my profile. Yeah we will loose some members but we will gain a whole lot more and the file traders will want to join also. This site does not support File traders yet. Thjat is another thing this site does not offer yet. The file traders only trade legit and they do File and Wi-Fi both.:)

So long as there isn't any sort of conversation involving where to get anything, that should comply with the rules. Now finding two people on PB with those abilities, that's another story.
