Introduction
After countless battles with my old teams, I wanted to try something new...And, as it is in my spirit to avoid the common teams such as Sandstorm and Rain, I couldn't really find anything at all, until a few nights ago when [member]SirCubith[/member] recommended Hail, and as such, here is my attempt.

A Closer Look

Obamamasnow (Abomasnow) (M) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 Atk / 144 SpA / 112 Spe
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
~ Wood Hammer
~ Blizzard
~ Ice Shard
~ Hidden Power Fire

I captured the PresidentAbomasnow, the bringer of Hail, and the rarest of the weather summoners. Obviously if I needed a Hail team, I'd have to have Abomasnow. I went with mixed Abomasnow due to the fact that he can take out both of his common brothers Politoad and Tyranitar with ease, which is something not many Pokemon can brag about it. Wood Hammer is Grass, and it doesn't get much cover, but it makes for a good high power STAB move, allowing Abomasnow to hit Blissey. Blizzard is definitly a key move to this set, as it allows Abomasnow to hit Dragons for a very large amount of damage, as well as anything that doesn't resist Ice. Ice Shard lets Abomasnow take out Dragonite and the likes, as well as Tornadus. Hidden Power Fire rounds off the, allowing Ferrothorn to hit Steel-types like Scizor and Ferrothorn, but fears a Bullet Punch from the ladder.

Gastrodon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Stockpile
- Scald
- Toxic
- Recover

My second Pokemon, the Sea Slug definitely is a major asset to the team. Gastrodon can make quick and easy work of many Pokemon that would otherwise give the team a hard time, being able to cripple the likes of Scizor, as well as the ever-common Salamence. I chose Stockpile because I thought that Gastrodon has always needed to boost defence, and to this day since Storm Drain, I've been using it. Scald is amazing on Gastrodon. It takes out many common threats to the team. Toxic lets me outstall certain Pokemon, like opposing bulky Water-types. Recover will definitely not move off my Gastrodon, and Recover is what gives Gastrodon its longevity.

Weeeeeeeeeak (Kyurem) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Blizzard
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Focus Blast

What's a Hail team without a Blizzard-abusing revenge killer? Kyurem is on the team! Due to Kyurem having low speed, but a good amount of usable coverage moves that are very powerful, Kyurem makes for a perfect Choice Scarf Pokemon. Blizzard gets STAB as well as 100% accuracy, and has the same amount of Base Power as Draco Meteor, but doesn't have the stat drop. Draco Meteor provides coverage of all Pokemon that Blizzard can't. Hidden Power Fire lets Kyurem easily deal with Ferrothorn and Skarmory. Focus Blast destroys Rock-types as well as other Pokemon, and works well against Normal-type Pokemon.

I Had (Reuniclus) (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast

Reuniclus has taken the place of Alakazam, and for good reason. He gets the same ability, as well as being much bulkier and can take hits better. Thanks to a Bold nature, Reuniclus can easy take unboosted, as well as +1 boosted attacks and Recover back health. Calm Mind boosts Reuniclus' special attack, as well as Sp. Def meaning Reuniclus can become a fearsome and powerful wall. Psyshock is to deal with Blissey and Chansey who try to harass Reuniclus. Focus Blast deals with every Psychic can't as well deals with the formidable Steel-types that try to come in and lay waist to the team, as well as it takes care of Tyranitar, who would otherwise try to sway the weather in a less...favorable condition.

BPOilHater (Walrein) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Ice Body
EVs: 232 HP / 252 Def / 24 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Protect
- Substitute
- Blizzard
- Toxic

Walrein is my physical wall, and man is it amazing. While some people might think Ice-typing makes for a bad defensive typing, but, Walrein makes for a fabulous wall. Thanks to the combination of Ice Body and Leftovers, Walrein will not faint due to the Burn Status, which is some healing hardly any Pokemon can do. Substitue is used to Protect Walrein from the multitude of Status-inflicting moves. Blizzard is used as a powerful STAB attack that doesn't allow any Pokemon to freely setup on Walrein. Toxic makes for an amazing combination on Walrein, seeing as Walrein gets amazing recovery, Hail does damage, and stacks well with Toxic, and the ability to stall with Protect.

Threat List

Color key:

- Minor threat (defensive Pokemon, Pokemon that can sometimes be quite a threat; something like Unaware Quagsire, etc.) -
- Medium threat (can take some turns to properly be a threat, can at times be speedy attackers like Latios) -
- Major threat (can easily take my team down, is a bad problem) -

Scizor - When Gastrodon falls, Scizor can definitely be a problem to the team. Fortunately, Gastrodon rarely ever gets KO'd.

OMG. I think this text color is making me go blind.

I think you need a more sturdy Fighting resistance than Alakazam. Without recover, damage is going to add up quickly since Alakazam is so frail. Plus, fighting-types often run Stone Edge which would still hit ice super effectively if you chose not to switch to Kazam, but would hit it for much more damage if you did. Something like Latias, Reuniclus, or even just adding Recover would give you a more balanced set of resistances.

Latias could also be very useful. You could throw Hidden Power Fire onto it, and lure in Scizor who thinks its going to have a field day.

Secondly, you don't run entry hazards on this team. Stealth Rock minimum is mandatory. Otherwise things like Volcarona or Dragonite are going to get set up (yes, Multiscale will let Dragonite survive an ice attack.) and just run through you. Swapping Walrein for a different physical wall with the ability to set up hazards would be great. Skarmory is an option, Gliscor without Poison Heal is a (weak) option, and Forretress is an option. Each of these would give you a better swtich-in to Scizor, and would provide valuable defensive synergy for your team.

Lastly, if you run hail, YOU NEED A RAPID SPINNER.. That is not debatable. Kyurem, Cloyster, Obamasnow, and Walrein (if you keep it) are all loosing 1/4th of their health every time they switch in, and none of them have any form of instant recovery. There's not even a wishpasser here. They are going to die rather quickly. Cloyster can learn rapid spin, otherwise Starmie synergizes well with Hail teams as well, it can swtich into any fighting-type or fire-type attacks with impunity. Plus you get the unique opportunity to spam Blizzard instead of Ice Beam. Otherwise if you use Forretress as mentioned before, he uses Rapid Spin rather well also.

Hope this helped!

Tentacruel would make a fantastic addition in place of Cloyster, Walrein, or Gastrodon. It would give you Rapid Spin support, the possibility of spreading status, and some bulk that this team desperately needs. The only Pokemon on your team that even resists fighting moves is Alakazam, who would be obliterated by most physical moves anyways, due to paper-thin defenses and lack of a Focus Sash. Once something sets up on your team, it will be practically impossible for you to stop it. I would get back to basics with the core of Abomasnow and Kyurem, and go from there. Reuniclus and Tentacruel would be the best decisions to make from there, since they set down a solid defense and allow the rest of the team to set up an offensive from there. And playing off of those weaknesses and advantages would be the key in deciding on the other members of your team.

Short and sweet, this team could be much better than it currently is. With nearly every Pokemon on your team sharing the same weakness, you're just asking for Pokemon like Terrakion and Conkeldurr to wreck you. Once you come to terms with what Hail does well what Hail doesn't do so well, then I think you'll have an easier time making better choices for your team.

Hopefully I was helpful with the development of the team, and if you need anything else, just ask. It's not everyday that I see a Hail RMT with such a clever title. ;]

Can't... read.... team.

You definitely need a spinner, no ways around it. You also need a Fighting resist. I'm suggesting Support Tentacruel over Cloyster, as it'll give you both of those things you need. Your team is also really weak to Scarf Terrakion, as it has no problems 1-2HKOing all of your Ice types with Close Combat, and Alakazam with X-Scissor.

Is there anything else besides Tenacruel? I mean, I'll take out Cloyster, but if I add Tentacruel Scarf Landorus will be a big problem. If it won't hurt, I'd probably just like to add Clyadol, as it resists Terrakion and Landorus completely, can Rapid Spin, and gets Stealth Rock. P.S. changed font :p

Maybe try Gliscor. It can help with your Landorus and Scizor problem. Just use Protect on it so you get enough HP back when in hail.
