Official Worlds Streams!

Ho my god, did anyone else see that Audino? Did anyone else see that Audino? This is insane! Insanity at it's finest! Best moment of the whole stream!

Oh my... That Vileplume/Big Basic Ninja Boy toolbox has got to be the most anti-meta, and Anti-Night March deck that I've ever seen.

And M Audino-EX takes Worlds! M Audino-EX takes Worlds!

Edit:

And on this weekend, two major things happened in Pokemon TCG history. One is that Greninja finally got his groove back. After less than stellar results at Origins and Nationals, he comes back in full to claim two Top Cut seats at Worlds. The other is the birth of M Audino-EX decks that will surely flood PTCGO for the next few weeks. Enjoy your success while you can, M Audino. The shift to the new Standard may change your fate.

I kept missing the Audino-EX streams... Can someone tell me a little more about the deck? Was it in the Masters Division? I'm totally lost here. >.<

It's a deck from the Masters Division, and I think it specializes more in dealing with low-HP targets and Evolutions. 110 + 50 on 1 Bench Pokemon provides very clean numbers when facing Trevenant and NM decks (if it Lysandre's Shaymin, it can strike it and a Night Marcher to take 3 prizes). Magearna-EX was also included as a 1-of tech for protection against moves such as Silent Fear and Bubble, though whether or not it was a game-changer is up for debate. It also ran 1-of techs of Absol and STS Cobalion for transferring damage counters, early protection, and for the sake of having a secondary attacker.

I see... Just saw the decklist posted in another thread, too. Now that's what is called an unexpected deck to win all out!

Sadly, I, too don't see it doing so well after rotation, with all the Primals and Megas coming back into the format.

There were several inclusions in this deck that I found to be a bit on the "questionable" side, such as the inclusion of Magearna-EX, and there are a few techs that the deck can opt for in order to make the transfer into the new format such as dumping AZ for Ninja Boy or making use of cards such as Pinsir as counters for the Fighting weakness. It can even run Manaphy-EX for better retreat options. Being a colorless type, there's really a lot of directions that it can go in.
