Ruling Old Rod - EX Dragon Frontiers

With this trainer, it says HH: search discard pile for basic or evolution card, TT: search discard pile for trainer. So what happens if you get HT or TH, does that mean you put the Old Rod in the discard pile, or do you have another two coin tosses to see if you get HH or TT next time round?

if you have HT or TH you can't search your discard pile for any card...
it's the same as a Tail by PokeBall ^^

You do nothing and you discard Old Rod.

Then you have a cry because you realize how bad Old Rod really is.
