BW/BW2 Omega Pokemon?

It would be interesting if Arceus get a rival this gen.

Other people says it's the end of pokemon/there will be no more 5th gen/ etc. because of Arceus.

My question is what would it's type be if ever? Appearance? Name?

I was thinking of something evil, completely opposite of Arceus.

The name 'Luceus' which came from the name 'Lucifer' sounds interesting.

A Dark/Ghost typing seems interesting too.

It's an option. They probably wouldn't be able to make it some sort of "devil" equivalent though. Perhaps just a Pokemon that is said to sleep for eternity but upon awakening has no control of its power and would destroy the world! (there's a Pokedex entry for you!). That would be an uncontroversial opposite of Arceus - the creator and the destroyer, rather than "high angel and high demon".

I never did see why people thought Arceus would undisputably be the end of Pokemon. It's a shame that it won't be at the end of the National Pokedex order, but there are still many ideas I'm sure they can churn out even after revealing the "god". It's not like any new surpeme legendaries have to surpass Arceus in its status :p
 
The way I envision an Omega pokemon being introduced would be: "Oh no, this pokemon has awoken from a long slumber because it has sensed turmoil. It is here to fulfill a prophecy where it ends the world. Protagonist comes along and shows it that they love pokemon. Omega pokemon is touched and returns to slumber, deciding to end the world another time. Yatta yatta yatta."

pokemon doesn't need to end if there's really an omega pokemon. He's just the 'final' as opposed to Arceus which means the beginning.

It's like you're saying Arceus was made for the gen 1 games because he's the alpha pokemon.

I think this is a great idea, Arceus is the Creator... so who is the Destroyer? My storyline for the introdution of this pokemon goes something along the lines of this. "When the universe was created there were two pokemon, Arceus and -insert destroyer pokemon's name here-. The Destroyer pokemon was put into a deep slumber by Arceus so that life could be created. The Destroyer was woken by the battle of Reshiram and Zekrom. It has returned to end the universe but is stopped by (a different unrevealed pokemon), or Arceus, Ash and his friends.
 
There's no need to make a rival to Arceus. We could have a Pokemon represent Omega for sure, but Arceus already has a bit of a rival- Giratina. It is, after all, the Renegade Pokemon. And from its Platinum Pokedex entry:

It was banished for its violence.

Now, the only Pokemon that I can think of with the power to banish other Legendaries would be Arceus(being the creator of the Dragon Trio and all).

Anyways, I don't see why a theoritical Omega Pokemon should be evil. IIRC, Alpha and Omega are not concepts of good and evil, just begining and end.
 
An Omega Pokemon would be interesting. something like the opposite to arceus, that wants to destroy the world. I can only hope...

I'm not sure what you were saying, exactly. I may have confused you when I typed Alpha Pokemon instead of Omega Pokemon in my original post.

I wasn't supporting the argument that Arceus or a possible Omega Pokemon would be the end of the franchise. I was simply proposing a scenario where an Omega Pokemon could be introduced without the necessity of ending Pokemon.
 
an omega pokemon sounds cool, and i like the idea of a dark arceus, so heres my idea:
another colleseum/xd game where instead of shadow lugia its shadow arceus

While a rival to Arceus sounds absolutely thrilling(no sarcasm), I SERIOUSLY doubt they would name it anything remotely CLOSE to sounding LIKE lucifer.

Do you know what would happen if something like that happened?

Angry religioud parents with nothing better to do than file lawsuits against people when nothing has even happened will start to riot in the streets and won't stop until Gamefreak can't even be found on Wikipedia.
 
arceus created palkia , dialgia and giratina, the controllers of space, time and dimensions. if arceus created them why cant he create others like them like maybe controllers of the elements? or the four seasons? even though everyone says ohh raikou entei suicune, zapodos..Etc etc etc are controllers of the elements, maybe he created controllers of the basic elements like fire, water, grass and ground? just an ideaaa
 
This would be an extremely cool idea, unfortunately the media would be all "LOL LETS BLOW THIS OUT OF PROPORTION" and go all headlines with "CONTROVERSIAL POKEMON- IS NINTENDO TRYING TO END THE WORLD?"

And that's just from naming it something like Lucifer. If they make something that acts as a rival to the "ultimate creator pokemon", what are the stupid parents and media going to immediately assume?
 
that its pokemon and its just a game and that if you actually carry life meaning out of pokemon, someone needs to have a talk
