I honestly find this game a blast and really fun to play! I grew up playing a lot of Ruby and Sapphire and enjoyed them a lot! I have not put this game down today after I bought it. I find the graphics really nice, the music is great and the mega evolutions. I almost want to buy Alpha Sapphire right now. I think they put in some good work into them, especially for a remake game, not knowing it was a remake I first had the idea it was a sequel. Anyways, does anyone agree that this game is probably one of the best games out yet?
 
So I haven't got AS yet (goddammit Europe getting it a week later) and I'm curious; is the Trick House in the game? I haven't seen anything on it but I'm really interested just to find out if it's in.

I just made it to Mauville and i can say, yes it's in the game.

I'm having a blast with the game so far! :D I haven't felt this much nostalgia while playing a game before, i picked May and i started with Torchic.
Up to this point my team is Combusken, Kirlia, Swellow and Aron.
Although i do think i'm overleved.

Does Ralts have a higher appearance rate? I remember it was super rare in RS

I think it's actually slightly rarer, because it took me longer to find one.
 
I found my ralts in the matter of seconds, with the new dexnav thing, also seedot was really rare in RS but i found one very quickly with dexnav

The redesigned mauville is truely amazing, i was so confused when i first walked in but I love it! Its so much better!

But once you catch one and it gets recorded in the DexNav, you can specifically search for it. Right now I'm at search level 22 for Ralts and have encountered some with Mean Look, Destiny Bond, Confuse Ray, Misty Terrain.

As for the game I'm taking it slow. Still at Route 102, training my team of Torchic, Ralts x2, Shiny Beldum.

Oh, and pokemon that have migrated from the old RSE games have 'Seems to have traveled across both space and time to reach you from the Hoenn region.' in the description. I had been curious what RSE pokemon would have in that info space.
 
Does anyone else find it weird that the Lati@s just joins you and you don't find it and fight it? Also I HATE Mauville City's layout.
 
I LOVE new Mauville! Especially what they did with the Game Corner since it's now illegal for gambling to be in kids games in parts of Europe and North America. Also, this will sound stupid of me, but how do I get the Beldum and will I be the OT?
 
I freaking love New Mauville, I spent an hour exploring the place when i got they're. I really want to see the whole second floor.
And i love these little references you can find if you take the time to explore, like the Hoenn Rangers. Say did you all notice how Game freak seems to want to keep the time difference between the first 4 generations and gen 5 a secret? There's a model of the Royal Unova in the Oceanic museum that says something along the lines of. "The Royal unova that just started construction in the Unova region, it's set to be completed in years, the date is hard to read."

I find the game corner being gone kind of depressing to be honest, that was one of my favorite areas in gen 3.

The OT is set to Steven... since apparently it's supposed to be the one Steven gives you after the E4 or something. Dunno what that's about.
But yeah, general rule of thumb for distributions is that it won't be your OT. It's unfortunate, really, since Metang is the only Pokemon on my team without a nickname right now...
 
Just realized the Game Corner is gone after an hour of searching for it. I didnt pick up on it being gone soon enough. Thats really upsetting.
 
Thank laws preventing gambling and casinos from being in kids games, guys. RIP Gsme Corner... :'(
 
Haven't beaten the league nor got all 8 badges, and I was flying around on Latios when I found nameless cave with Mesprit in it!
 
First off ... this game is BEAUTIFUL. I thought X and Y were visually appealing, but OR blows 'em out of the water. I was literally in awe when at some of the scenes, and a particular mural especially.

I love the fact you can actually see some Pokemon before you catch them, and them having special moves is ... well, kind of a boon, kind of a drawback. Catching a Machop with Ice Punch? Awesome. Running into a Taillow 15 levels above my highest who knows Boomburst (and long before I could purchase Quick Balls)? Not so fun ... but I will admit, I'll be Taillow hunting later!

I've just beaten the Fortree City gym. I admit, I'm rushing through the game, just getting what I come across and what I absolutely need to advance. I've caught less than a box of Pokemon so far ...

And thank Arceus the EXP Share works like it did in XY.
 
I just wanted to share something that I didn't expect; Anorith can now learn Brine via level up. I was grinding Ramen up to match the rest of my team, and to my surprise, he tried to learn Brine in the mid-20s! Maybe this is a sign that Armaldo can learn water HMs now? I'll check when he evolves.

Also, according to the guide, Sharpedo, Wailmer, and Kyogre all have unique overworld surf sprites.
 
I just caught Kyogre with a Luxury Ball (took about 80 :p) and I beat the final gym. The graphics are soooooooo beautiful. I've logged about 15 1/2 hours in game.

I hate the safari zone and the lack of berry blending.

Creating the Pokeblocks is lame now....no fun at all. You just choose 4 berries and it combines them to create a Pokeblock.

The safari zone doesn't use the classic bait, rock, ball, run....it's just like regular encounters where you send out Pokemon and battle.

Demon-Ice, my Glalie from the Demo
Kirlia (I haven't gotten a Dawn Stone yet)

I just got the game yesterday from Amazon. Usually, it arrives on the release date but for some reason, I got it a day late. Oh well. Whatever, it's totally worth the wait, because the next three days--no work! <3

I absolutely fell in love with it right away--beautiful graphics, can't wait to see it underwater! My first game was Sapphire--so many nostalgic (Especially Oceanic Museum!) So far, I'm finished with Slateport, clearing the way to Mauville City. I really need to work on my team, I only have two Pokemon so far. I can't remember which Water-type hangs out. I have a tradition, starting with mono Water type in each generation since Johto. Plus, AreaNav rocks!
 
I got AS on release date and the game is amazing! The Hoenn region is beautiful in 3D, and I love the updated track. Definitely my favorite Pokemon game to date.

Right now I'm getting through the standard story, and also just going around exploring everywhere I can, talking to all the NPCs, getting all the items (except in the Safari Zone because I don't understand; it's like, you need the Acro Bike to reach an area, but that area you needed the Acro Bike for leads to a slope you need the Mach Bike to ride up. how?), and battling all the trainers. Afterwards I'll do Delta Episode and any other post-game, then I'll work on Secret Bases and contests. I also love how the new Pokenav works. I like how there's no more annoying random trainer calls, and rematches are pretty quick. Makes it easy to train.

My team is Swampert, Gardevoir, Crobat, Magnezone, and Absol. I just cleared Team Aqua's hideout.
 
Is the Delta Episode in-game or is it dlc-esque? Also hit Victory Road, my team is Swampert / Brelooom / Latios / Gardevoir / Metagross
