So I want to build a Mario deck (recommeded?) but some of the cards are before Holon Phantoms...When the new format hits will they still be legal? I just play in a league at my local card shop so...

Also this deck ii adding up to much more than I expected. Ebay isn't helping...Any good sites?
 
Leagues are usually unlimited...So there shouldn't be any problems there.

As for sites...You can try trading for cards in the trade section here.
 
Yeah, leagues you can even use the 1st edition cards. a so-so site is http://www.pokemontcg.com/. It has some strategies that the people who made it to worlds used. also, at http://www.pokemoncenter.com/ , you can buy some decks that were used in worlds. hope this helps!
 
Only in official tournaments, you better use set Holon P. CG, PK, ...

Set before HP, yua can use in unlimited Format.
 
Mario will mostly be legal, though I don't really recommend it (except I think you might just be starting, correct? If so, yes, you should. It's an easy deck to play and it does work. If not, sorry =D ).

It won't be that hard to convert it to HP-on. I'd go ahead and buy the cards for the HP-on deck instead of buying the current cards, because they'll just get rotated soon.

If you're just in your league you should ask your Owner what the format is, then build a deck around that. If it's Unlimited, there are better decks. If it's modified, Mario will be great for just a casual tournament, since there's absolutely no reason to play something expensive when you're not competitive.
