My opponent has Unown E attached to his Active Pokemon. I have a Pachirisu active and use Smash Short for 40. My opponent has 2 other Unown E, an Unown A and a Unown G in his or her hand. Do I discard all Unown, only the Unown Es or none of them.

But Unown E (Hand) wouldn't be a tool yet, i'm a little confused still
The way it's worded, you wouldn't discard anything from your hand. The effect says "discard any Pokemon Tool cards of the same name", but Unown isn't considered a Tool in your hand.
Unown E is only a tool when attached to an active or another Pokemon. If it is in your hand,on your bench or anywhere else it is a Pokemon. The card is confusing at first. If you read it over several times you will understand the attack.
