I decided to dip my toe back into the TCG after seeing the Blacksmith supporter card from FlashFire. Today I picked up a promotional pack of cards at Wal-Mart. It had a foil Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise as well as two X and Y packs. The Charizard has fantastic artwork and the attacks don't look too bad; Split Bomb and Scorching Fire. I also got an Ultra Ball, which reminds me of a nerfed Computer Search. It seems like a good way to put energy in the discard for Blacksmith.
I see that Entei EX has a 3-energy attack that can charge Charizard. Blacksmith helps out as well. So my question is, can you think of a better partner for this Charizard?
