I saw Palkia & Dialga Legend. Well, that attack is beastly!

[M] [M] [C] Discard all Metal Energies attached to Palkia & Dialga Legend. Put the 2 Top Cards of your opponent's deck into his/her Prize Cards.

I can see these been actually used in Fire & Metal Decks with Heatran Lvl. X.

What do you think? Discuss! (Lol WPM Reference)

^I had almost the exact same idea. Since DP Legend will probably be knocked out, I added RD Legend for quick prizes.

Good luck getting a 4 retreat X on the field and charging DPL with 3 energy of which 1 may not be metal while not getting killed.
Seriously, use it with Magnezone, there he has a little chance of working.

With Flygon retreat is free. The idea is a little far-fetched, but it could work.

Warp energy, Warp point, and switch are all options to solve the retreat problem.

And Lou is right, magnezone is really the only thing that can help you to steadily get the energy.

This card is massive fail after I heard the ruling about it. Even though you're putting more Prize cards on the field, your opponent still only has to take SIX Prize cards to win. No more, no less. Kinda nerfs the card when you think about it.

What??? They still only have to take 6 prizes? My entire deck is stripped down to nothing now!

I could have sworn that rules as they are would give the three ways to win:

Force your opponent to run out of cards to draw from the deck (Stall)
Knock out your opponent's last in-play Pokemon (Donk)
Take ALL of your prize cards (True Win IMO)

Not that I don't take dmaster as a fibber, I find he has some of the highest credibility on these boards, he knows what he's talking about, but could we get a link to the rule that says "6 prizes", rather than "all prizes"?

EDIT: So I found a full rulebook, unfortunately it is dated in 2008, but that should technically cover DPPtHGSS series right? Sans a few ERRATA:

http://www.warpcore.org/~chairmankaga/pokemon/rulebook.pdf

Section 606.1a states (on page 20 of 24) "A player wins the game if they have taken all of their Prize Cards."

Not saying this is completely up to date, with this being one of the few cards that augments prize cards, and certainly the first adding them. (For augmenting them, Mankey from Jungle comes to mind, Azelf, Gallade with Sonic Cut or whatever, and Unown NOD)
Anything better?

Unfortunately, I do not have a link. However, I did hear of this from the Tournament Organizer at the Triumphant Prerelease, so yeah. Compendium Rulings should be coming after the set releases.

No offense dmaster, but my TO said in the case of machamp prime vs rescue energy, rescue energy wins, which is obviously not true. And she's been playing since base set. So TOs can make mistakes.

The rule booklet says under the "How do you win?" section:

  • You collect all of your prize cards (collect prize cards as your Opponent's Pokemon are knocked out.)
  • Knock out your Opponent's last Pokemon in Play.
  • Your opponent is out of cards in his or her deck, when he or she goes to draw a card at the beginning of the turn.

What's the point of even printing this card if you only need to draw 6 prizes? Need link dmaster, rulings for Triumphant have nothing on DPL.

If it really is your oppenent only needs to take 6 prizes, than this card is useless.
Why would they make a card to add to their prizes if you only need 6?

Maybe that was just a pre-release ruling? IMHO it would make sense. Pre-release tournaments state you must play with four prize cards for your forty card deck. If we add two more prize cards there, that'd make the six. Otherwise, there would be absolutely no point to making such an effect for an attack.

Should be possible to increase the prizes to more than 6, and opponent has to take all the prizes to win.

Or maybe Dmaster was miss informed, which is no call to label some-one as incompetent.

although to do believe you may have been mis-informed as many people have said if you only need to take 6 prizes then its second attack becomes ineffective in anyway

Ok, I admit I was wrong. That doesn't mean you have to call me names. >_> I'm just relaying what I was told, it's not what I necessarily believed. And being a Mod doesn't change my opinion. I was told this by a TO and figured that the Rule may have been changed. It's not, so I'm wrong, whatever.

aww! This card is going to mass murder all meta decks that win by speed! If you are lucky and get the card set up quick then boom goes the game

uhhh... no. This will not be that great, since its SOO slow. It can get KOed pretty fast and without inconsistent energy acelleration, it can fail pretty easily.

1. Super Connectivity (Magnezone SF)
2. Dialga PT
3. Rescue Energy
4. Indigo Plateau
5. Something to fight Machamp? Maybe Drifblim?
