Partially confirmed ablity text for Black and White starters in US.

I was clicking around the website today when I decided to see the ad for the upcoming Black and White set. In this ad they show the three starters stacked on top of each other, if you look closely you can make out the text for Serperior partially which reads:

"Ability: Royal Heal
At any time between turns, heal ..... ach of your pokemon."

Emboar almost fully revealed says:

"Ability: Inferno Fandango
As often as you like during your turn (before you attack), you may attach a {R} Energy card from ... hand to 1 of your Pokemon.

Unfortunately Samurott is almost totally blocked reading simply as:

"... Pokemon by attacks ... Weakness and Resistance)"

I have attached a screen capture to this post which shows what I claim. If someone would also be kind enough to alert Pokebeach mods so that this is known or whatever it would be appreciated.

Inferno....Fandango....what kind of name is that. -_- Anyway, thanks for sharing this information. =)

When incompetent translators get their hands on Pokemon cards.

Apparently all you people have to talk about is how Emboar's Ability was translated as Inferno Fandango and how it's a terrible name.
I frankly like it. I could use a laugh, a departure from an otherwise serious environment.
 
Isn't Fandango an insuranse company, because I would have sworn I heard "Fan-dannnngooo" on TV. No comment on the name.

That's all I have to say about this story, but I'm surprised that everybody else followed in my footsteps lol.
I don't think it's a terrible name, but I think they could have came up with something less silly and more simple.
 
The thing I find most surprising is that they did not errata Serperior's Ability to say that you may only use one Royal Heal in between turns. With 4 of those things out you attack and then I heal 40 after your turn and 40 after my turn. Good luck with that KO.
 
why would there be an errata?

does it make sense for us to have the same card as japan, but a less powerful ability?
 
The Emboar Ability stayed the same, the only thing we cant see is the fact that it says "..from your hand to one of your Pokemon.

I'm glad it will say the same.

^ Why would there be. Its not like Energy Healer Onix. That was just a fail in translation. There is no need for an errata if Inferno Fandango is an exact translation, which it seemingly is. There is no need for them to make it less powerfull or no one would buy B/W 1 lol.

As for the name.... why not just Inferno Dance...
 
^ I dont think it does, but thats just me. How about this idea. Keep it the same as it was in Japan :p Fervid Dance!
