I want to make a deck with the new Garchomp from BREAKpoint (translation below), so I'm wondering what partners you would suggest.

Garchomp – Fighting – HP130
Stage 2 – Evolves from Gabite

[F] Assault Turbo: 60 damage. Choose 1 Energy card in your discard pile and attach it to one of your Pokemon.

[F][F] Biting Pledge: 80+ damage. If your opponent’s Active Pokemon is a Pokemon-EX, this attack does 80 more damage.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 0

Moved from the TCG Help & Advice to the TCG ompetitive Play as the OP is looking for strategic advice that would be better suited as a discussion of strategy. ~bbninjas

I would suggest 1-2 Lucario-EX, and probably about 3 hawlucha from furious fists, And of course a shaymin or 2

this will be big in night march and vespiqueen
Why's that? I wouldn't run Garchomp with either Night March or Vespiquen, as I don't feel like the reward of energy acceleration is worthwhile. I might run something like Empoleon BKT instead, if I was to run an Archie's or Maxie's Pokemon. I may be missing where you're coming from, though. :p

it can pull your double colorless back from the discard pile and it is the most talked about thing for garchomp to go into since its announcement a month ago

Maxies in pretty much any deck that would run fighting, even mega rayquaza C.

Maxie/Garchomp in Toad/Tina to get DDE and DCE back? If you get it off turn one you can even compressor away your special energies and start attaching from turn one and have a fully powered Tina AND Toad end of turn two.

It works, but can someone make it consistent?

Personally I will be running it with Lucario, battle compressor, Korrina for turn 2 Garchomp + rare candy shenanigans. A few shaymin and Hawlucnha and all that delicious fighting support that could easily get it hitting for 220 turn two vs EX.
