Because I'm the kind of guy that gets off on coin flips, I've been working on an unlimited format sleep-centered deck. Its damage output is rather unsavory and will likely put your opponent to sleep as well. Check it out:
Pokemon (15)
The general strategy is to keep Misdreavus active at all times, scumming her Pokebody in order to lock down the enemy's active guy around 75% of the time.
Hypno #1 (Binding Aura) keeps your opponent from utilizing a few methods of waking up or arming the active, and Hypno #2 (Goodnight Babies) is the one actually putting them to sleep. In most circumstances, Misdreavus would be put to sleep as well, but a properly placed Chaos Tower makes this impossible. Doing it with Misdreavus herself would take valuable time and would be trying your luck even further in such a, uh, flippant deck.
Darkrai G help your damage output over time, as Misdreavus' Dream Eater, even with the included Muscle Bands, does a lackluster 50 damage a hit. With both Darkrai G on bench, damage per round improves to an almost acceptable 90.
Oh, and Snorlax is cool too. Without a Muscle Band, he deals almost as much damage per round as a Banded Misdreavus would and is slightly more stable in the HP department. He'd probably benefit from an Eviolite, but I wasn't sure if it was the best idea, as in every other situation I probably want Muscle Band for Misdreavus.
This deck's optimal position is to have both Hypno on bench, as well as both Darkrai G and two Misdreavus as well, one active and one on bench waiting for your opponent to inevitably take advantage of active Misdreavus' frail 50 HP. Once this occurs, Revive that sucker back to bench. We're not done with her yet, no sir.
I'd like as much advice as I could get on all corners of this deck, if anyone would be so kind. I scoured card databases to find as many sleep-based benefits as I could, with this being the end result. Any and all criticisms of composition and card choice are welcome, but when it comes to card recommendations I don't think I should be breaking the bank for something as novel as this. As much as I wish I could include something as nice as that crisp Snorlax Lv.X, it's simply too pricey, and I doubt I'd have any luck finding them to trade at my regular league. That being said, I'm not against the idea of a reasonable purchase.
Thank you for your time.
