Hello

So me and my friend where having a discussion on Kecleon from platinum. According to him, due to Kecleon's multitype nature, he is both super-effective and resistant to all types of pokemon. I can understand that perhaps his attack gets boosted, but the fact that his resistance is to everything is absurd. In essence what I'm asking is how does Kecleon's Poke-Body work? And how does it affect it's resistances and effectiveness?

Thank you for your help,

It is treated as all those types at the same time. First you apply all weaknesses a Pokemon has then you apply all resistances a Pokemon has.~Mark

Kecleon is not resistant to all types. In fact, Kecleon RR has NO resistance as printed on its card. A given Pokémon of any type may be both weak and resistant to its attacks (assuming that Pokémon is both weak and resistant to any type), since its Poké-BODY means that it is considered all types. However, this does not imply that it is therefore granted additional weakness or resistances besides what is specifically printed on its card for those two values.
