Would this be easy or hard to get up and going?

Does eveyone think this strategy will be good or bad in an HGSS-on format? I also heard the idea of Absol prime being used as a starter, I like it.

i dont get the connection with absol.....and wait... I MADE A THREAD ON KINGBUZZ...thief :p jk

i like the idea of kingbuzz, quick set up and then do 60 a turn to anyone. and with multiple kingdra... you can kill most annoying techs *looks at slowking*

With Absol out every time the put a pokemon down you put 2 damage counters on it :) its actully rather nice, but he has to be active thats the down side

That's the point of it being a starter. (Meaning that Absol prime should be your active pokemon at the start of the game.)

Reshiram is quite effective. However you just need to run Kindra UL

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Kingdra_(Unleashed_17)

Water Arrow
ウォーターアロー
Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 30 damage to that Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)

Stream Pump
すいりゅうポンプ 50+
You may do 50 damage plus 30 more damage. If you do, return an Energy card attached to Kingdra to your hand.

130 HP, and you can do 80 for 1w and 1 DCE, then return the DCE to your hand so you don't waste it if they use pluspower. His second attack OHKO's both emboar and reshiram. To some extent, you can use his first attack to snipe, too.

I like the idea, thank you.

but...who cares. it has no synergy with kingdra. i guess to KO there basics but by the time that you get out that kingdra that magicarp has become a 130 HP gyarados :p

It does have Synergy with Kingdra and Buzz, Absol is the preferred starter play absol they start with whatever, then when they put a pokemon down from their hand it gets 2 damage counters placed on it just for being played... then you can go ahead and get a kingdra and Mandibuzz set up, its a way to get more damage counters out early in the game so if say you are playing Reshibor and you see a tepig droped it will automatically have 2 damage counters on it and then on your next turn you go switch evolve vullby into Mandibuzz and attach an energy for the turn and Blindside and knock out tepig, which sets them back a turn for energy exhilaration. I have learned that If you can knock out tepigs before they become embors the match becomes is SO much easier

I like the idea of Kingdra Prime Mandibuzz, but I honestly don't think it will be fast enough or consistent enough to survive in the format. Getting out two separate evolutions and 2 different types of energy is a hassle. Not to mention that it has a bad Zekrom and Reshiboar match up. If more search or speed cards are introduced into the format, I could see this deck being a contender in the metagame, however for now, I don't see it being any better than an interesting rogue or a tier 3 deck.

Why does everone seem to forget energy exchanger? http://pokebeach.com/scans/undaunted/73-energy-exchanger.jpg

ive also been toying with this deck, i think it needs a 2-2 donphan to be able to deal with zekrom. or i suppose a 2-2 zoroark would also do fine when paired with spray splash for the ohko

I think that Zoroark + Spray splash would be better because Zoroark is a more versatile counter for anything and Donphan can only hit Zekrom and other electric types for weakness.

true but donphan has a bit more lasting power. and can get you that ko with 1 fighting instead of having to get out a dce or waste two turns attaching energy to it. i like both, im just playing devils advocate, and just want others opinions.

magneboar laughs at you :p. it wont be that hard to set up just run 4-4 mandibuzz and 4-4-4 kingdra.

I think that Pokemon Catcher would be a great addition to this deck, allowing you to drag out something that's not meant to be active and that has a high retreat cost allowing you to take some turns sniping whatever you want. Does anyone else agree?

This is my new deck for the next format

I run Kingdra Prime/Mandibuzz/Zoroark

Am considering teching in Absol prime now (just got a TR box aswell) and trying this for a few games
But I really like this deck, my current fav HGSS-on deck

I don't think 50 is worth it. You can knock out an Emboar in 3 turn, but each time you Manndibizz is KO'd to. An no pixies either. Only Cleffas and Smeargles, and doubtably more than 1-2. So that 50 is nothing compared to other cards, bench-attacking, or active-attacking.
