I was wondering if I should play Mew/Yveltal Toolbox for a tournament I'm pretty new and I can't invest more than $20 and I can't afford Shaymins. Here is my decklist:
  • 2 Shaymin-EX ROS 106
  • 1 Umbreon-EX FAC 119
  • 3 Yveltal BKT 94
  • 1 Yveltal XY 78
  • 2 Yveltal-EX XY 144
  • 2 Mew FAC 29
  • 4 Professor Sycamore STS 114
  • 3 Fighting Fury Belt BKP 99
  • 4 Ultra Ball PLF 122
  • 2 Parallel City BKT 145
  • 1 Escape Rope PRC 127
  • 1 Pokémon Ranger STS 113
  • 2 Ninja Boy STS 103
  • 1 Super Rod NVI 95
  • 4 VS Seeker ROS 110
  • 3 N NVI 101
  • 2 Lysandre FLF 104
  • 4 Max Elixir BKP 102
  • 4 Trainers' Mail AOR 100
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy FAC 114
  • 10 Darkness Energy CL 94
Can someone improve the decklist in a way so that it costs less and substitutes the Shaymins? I need the following cards to complete the decklist:

1 Umbreon-EX
2 Yveltal BKT
2 Yveltal-EX
2 Mew FAC
3 Fighting Fury Belt
2 Parallel City
1 VS sekker
1 N
1 Max elixir

For me to buy/trade I need a total of value $58.50
Is it worth it to play this deck or another deck?
I'm fairly new to this format

Thanks :)

You might want to give some time for people to respond haha ^w^

I don't play anymore so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I believe people are talking about Oranguru as a significantly weaker though more budget alternative to Shaymins
Otherwise it doesn't appear to be missing anything too notable to me, but again, I have been out of the game for a little while now

Without taking your deck list apart and assuming you can somehow get the Yveltal EX / Yveltal BKT without spending all 20 dollars needed to acquire them, this would be my suggested deck. Changes are highlighted.

2 Oranguru SUM
2 Yveltal BKT 94

1 Yveltal XY 78
3 Yveltal-EX XY 144
2 Mew FAC 29

4 Professor Sycamore STS 114
3 Fighting Fury Belt BKP 99
4 Ultra Ball PLF 122
3 Reverse Valley
2 Escape Rope PRC 127
1 Ninja Boy STS 103
1 Delinquent
1 Hex Maniac
1 Olympia

1 Super Rod NVI 95
3 VS Seeker ROS 110
2 N NVI 101
1 Lillie

2 Lysandre FLF 104
3 Max Elixir BKP 102
4 Trainers' Mail AOR 100

4 Double Colorless Energy FAC 114
10 Darkness Energy CL 94

Basically, I tried to give you some cheap alternatives. It is a VERY heavy supporter line, but at least it has flexibility and all the ones I am suggesting can be acquired cheaply.

Changes:
+2 Oranguru: roughly 2 dollars each
-1 Umbreon EX: Not needed and will get in the way.
-1 Yveltal BKT: Two is enough and you are better off investing the 3-4 dollars into another Yveltal EX
+1 Yveltal EX: Probably costs another 4-5 dollars to get one more. Total of 12-15 dollars for a set of 3.
+3 Reverse Valley: Roughly 1 dollar for a set of 4
-2 Parallel City: Roughly 3 dollars for a set of 4
+1 Escape Rope: Roughly 1 dollar for a second one
-1 Ninja Boy: Don't need two.
+1 Delinquent: Think you can get 4 for $1.50
+1 Hex Maniac: Think you can get 2 for $1.50
+1 Olympia: Think you can get 4 for $1.00
-1 VS Seeker: Saves you 7 dollars
-1 N: Saves you another 3 dollars
+1 Lillie: Think you can get 1 for a dollar
-1 Max Elixir: Saves you another 3-4 dollars

Total cost without the Yveltals = 11 dollars to go with what you have. Total cost with the Yveltals + Mew = roughly 30-35 dollars.

Not sure whether that fits your budgetary constraints or not. I would bet you could trade for every single one of those trainers I listed though meaning you could probably just spend the money to buy the Yveltals + Mews + Orangurus. Still outside your 20 dollars, but not by much.

Hope that helps.

Thanks :). I think I could go w/ buying the mews, Orangurus, and Yveltals and what you suggested but I could still buy the N and the 2 Parallel Cities. Other than that thanks so much! btw i'm a kid, i'm not new but I can't invest money and so I can trade a lot for them. :)
