Ruling plus power, strenght charm, etc.??

i will use desknoir's hard felings attack as an example

it says that puts 5 damage etc etc etc and if i use plus power or strenght charm or any card with the same effect does it do 10 more damage or not and same goes fo defender does the 5 damage counters go to 3 or not

pluspower/strength charm/defender wouldn't apply since it technically doesn't cause damage

Here is how I think it would work:
You put 5 damage counters on the defending pokemon. This isnn't effected by anything. But previously you attached Plus Power. You would do 10 damage, and put 5 damage counters on the defending pokemon. So, you attach two plus power and use hard feelings, but your opponent has a metal on it, here is how damage would be calculated:
20 damag+5 damage counters- 10 damage for metal= 10 damage and 5 damage counters.

damage is not the same as damage counters.

Well, it would do 10 more damage, assuming you have damage to begin with. It doesn't do anything to attacks with no base damage.
