Pokemon Online Server Rules and Guidelines
As many of you know, we now have our own server on the Pokemon Online Battle Simulator. This will bring us many opportunities for expanding and improving our player base, as well as attracting new members. This server will be used for a multitude of PokeBeach tournaments and events, as well as a place for members to chat and battle. Pokemon Online can be downloaded for Windows or Macintosh operating systems here.
Before using the server, there are several things to read that will help you get the most out of your experiences on the Pokebeach Pokemon Online server. Please read this thread carefully, and feel free to post in this thread, or contact any PO moderator for any additional questions, comments, or concerns.

Tools
Advanced Connection: In addition to clicking on the server "PokeBeach", you can directly connect to the server through the Advanced connection feature. Once you click "Go Online" from the start menu, there will be an area for Advanced Connection at the bottom of the servers window. Here, enter "192.168.0.4:5080", and you will be directly connected to the PokeBeach Server.
Register: To register a username on the server, first change your name to the one you wish to register. This can be done on the team builder, which can be accessed by pressing Ctrl + T, or by going to File > Open Team Builder. In the first section of Team builder, you can change your trainer avatar, customize colors and information, and add winning and losing messages. Once edited as you wish, save, and exit. To apply the new changes, you must load the new profile by pressing Ctrl + L, or by going to File > Load team, and then chose the team you saved the profile onto. From there, click the grey "Register button" at the bottom of the server window. It will ask you for a password. Enter it, and the name that you registered will now be password protected on that server. In the event that your password is forgotten, stolen, or somehow leaked, contact Arceus for clearing of the password protection. From there, you can register a new password.
Tabs/Channels: Making things more organized and easy to find, tabs allow you to view many things in a structured manner. Tabs can be found at the top left section of the PO server window, right above the player list. There are three tabs in this section. The first, being a player list. This list contains the list of users currently connected to the server. From here, you can click the name of a user to bring up their information, and to send them a challenge. Right clicking a players name will let you privately message them, view their ranking, watch their battle, or ignore them. The next tab is the battles tab. This tab allows you to view all the battle match-ups currently being played on the server. Click to watch. The third tab is the channels tab. Similar to IRC channels, our Pokemon Online server has multiple channels that serve different purposes. Some channels are not available to the public. Please PM a moderator regarding any questions about channels you can not access. The first public channel is "PokeBeach". This is the server's primary channel, and the location for chatting and battling. The next public channel is the tournaments tab. Information regarding the tournament will be displayed there, and you must be in the tournaments channel to join a tournament. The third channel is the help channel. Here, you can ask for help regarding Pokemon Online, PokeBeach, or anything else you may need assistance with. The final public tab is the tutoring tab. With a few current tutoring programs, and many more to come, this channel is for teachers and students to engage in tutoring activities.
Rules & Warnings
Just like the forums, our Pokemon Online server uses warnings, primarily for behavioral management purposes. Moderators will often kick, or give friendly verbal warnings before giving warnings. This kindness should not be taken as a joke, as repeat offenders will not receive such treatment. When a person is warned, the percentage adds to their total percentage, which is only viewable by the user, and PO moderators. When a warning percentage reaches 100 % or higher, that person will be temporarily banned. Warnings generally expire in one weeks time. Ban times can vary based on what the moderator who performed the ban feels necessary. In some extreme cases, such as posting of pornographic content, someone could be permanently banned from the server. The following is a list of rules on our server, and the warning percent given if those rules were to be broken.
