XY Pokémon Smash 5/19 Preview

No one seems to have mentioned this, but the preview for tonight's Smash special is out...

Apparently there is going to be a new Pokemon, from the looks of the magical reveal. Either that or I'm somehow missing out on some already revealed info.

I bet it's the four we've already seen this week. :| Would be nice to have another new one, however...

To be honest, I think what we all want to know the most is Sylveon's type!

It certainly would...I am definitely hoping for a new one, like either this gen's Lucario/Zoroark or perhaps an evolution of a previous Pokemon, seeing as it was only one slide.

That might warrant a special of it's very own! With the way they're going through the "type tests" now though, it seems like it'll be out just in time for next month's Corocoro.

I have a feeling that if there is a counterpart Eeveelution to Sylveon, it will be revealed now.

Of course, it's most likely gunna be the 4 we've already seen in CoroCoro, along with the features and everything else we've heard about.
edit: If it is the CoroCoro Mons then I'm hoping we see their abilities as well, especially if they're new.

I expect coverage of the new Pokemon and next week game play. Then they'll go back to Sylveon and get the type on the same week as Corocoro. That is my guess.

Of course I want to see Sylveon's type now if possible with game play. Or at least new moves for the Pokemon we know about.

This smash is the most predictable ever. There wont be anything unexpected.

-something we know from this months site update/corocoro
-more testing on sylveons type without revealing it

Yes, they'll likely go over the four new Pokemon and likely show us how the gameplay works, and maybe highlight a few new features.

I am still a bit suspicious about the question marked Pokemon though. It's only one slide, and by now both Japan and the rest of the world know about Gogoat and the rest. I honestly don't think that they'd just run through the same routine as all of the other sources, especially if it wasn't like "Corocoro --> Smash --> Nintendo sites".

I'm thinking about their reveal routine as well. Since it's confirmed to be simultaeneous worldwide releases, and for the most part the news has been simultaeneous (we've only heard about it before it was due due to CoroCoro leaks), it makes sense that the English site could reveal new Mons first. Same with Smash, it makes sense that we could new info on there before CoroCoro.

They might be revealing Gogoat first due to its unique riding function, and then revealing the other 3 later, particularly as the other 3 seem to be more casual Pokemon. (and show gameplay vids of all of them in action)

However, having them reveal a new Pokemon might not be totally inconcievable, for all we know they could be revealing 5 new mons (4 CoroCoro ones and one new).
There could also be the new gameplay vid from X and Y.com being revealed to showcase the new Pokemon as well.

I think that the Mewtwo form is this generation's Lucario/Zoroark, the're very similar- all have a human-like form, are one of the main stars of the "transitional" movie, and are introduced very early in the leak train.

As for Corocoro... I think that it won't be the newly reveled 4, as they are already on the websites, it would be redundant, everyone already knows about them. I don't know what it will be, hopefully not the "faerie" type, I really hope that the type is just another fan-fake, like light type when Reshiram was reveled.

Even if there is no Lucario/Zoroark, there are always new Pokemon in the movies so we might find a Munchlax. Here is the Sableye which people think that will evolve.

I want to disagree.

Firstly, because I want a completely new lucario/Zoroark type pokemon.
Ans second, because Mewtwo is a legendary and this is just a new form. He out ranks both earlier mentioned pokemon by far. The new form will probably be only available to the Mewtwo that is being distributed via wifi.
I'm still unsure if this implies that Mewtwo will be in the pokedex or you won't be able to transfer old pokemon until after the main story, when you have the national dex.

As for pokemon smash, some of you might have seen this thread: http://www.pokebeach.com/forums/thread-new-eevee-evolution？

The first picture is too blurry, but if you look further down the page there's a second picture with better quality. I'm not sure about it, but I'm just sharing. I thought it was fake until the second picture looked more legit.

@P: I most certainly agree with them revealing Gogoat first. Considering Pokemon Smash it might take up more than any of the gameplay videos.

If anything it would likely be a new evolution. Different enough to not appear in the May Corocoro issue, but new enough to be shown somewhere else.

@Flys: If Mawile is getting retyped, we may indeed see Sableye getting some updates, which might include a new evolution!

@Thief: I doubt that the new evolution is real, as Serebii already has it up on their lists of fakes. We'll have to see what happens tonight, I suppose.

Smash airs in about three hours... Does anyone know of a website that's airing it live? I watched the episode with the Mewtwo forme reveal so I know they exist, but my Google searches are turning up blank.

they went thru all the info we've seen from corocoro and official site updates (unexpected huh)

but also promised there will be some new clip and/or pokemon EACH WEEK FROM NOW

Awww, never put regions or the trainer pics into account for what could be behind that silhouette. ):

I am quite glad with the new info promise though! Also, does anyone know if they revealed the names for the girl and boy protagonists? There were words under their picture, but I don't know if they were just the gender indications or not.
