I know that this probably isn't a big deal but am I probably the only one that misses the Pokémon when they followed you like they did in HeartGold and SoulSilver I thought it was a cool feature to have the first Pokémon in your party follow you.l would of been glad if they had kept this feature in Pokémon Black and White but they didn't.What do guys think of this?
 
I agree. I really miss the Pokemon following you, and I was really disappointed when I saw it wasn't in Black and White. It was a really cool extra even though it didn't effect the core game.

For the people who dislike somethng eternally stalking them, make it optional. And while I'm at it, bring back Wes. Just... not that annoying girl -.-

For someone like me who found the following of Pikachu to be a nightmare, imagine my disdain when it becomes constant with everyone in HGSS. Spare me.

I would have loved it to be optional, and if they ever bring it back, have it stay optional. Not all of us like it - many of us think it's vapid, and I'm one of them.

And pardon me for asking, but who is Wes? Edit: Oh, Colosseum protagonist.
 
It felt like the pokemon following you made you run slower or felt like it. And pokemon running with you, actually helped out a lot. your pokemon would occasionally pick things up, sometimes props and others good things. especially good things when there is a pick up ability involve :D lol
 
I don't know about you guys, but I particularly liked a Regigigas following me wherever I went. Oh, and DNA posted in this thread. How strange. :D

The following Pokemon is just like everything else in HGSS - it looks nice and cool at first, but give it enough time and you begin to despise it. It just becomes tedious, much like everything else.
Sure, it had drastically improved speed time, plus some new areas and stuff, which were great. And the Ruins of Alph got a very nice touch-up.

But...there's so little redeeming about HGSS.
 
DNA, I don't get what's so annoying about having a Pokemon follow you... it doesn't hinder the gameplay right? o_O

But on another note I found having Gyarados following me on land (especially when I run) to be quite amusing. It looks absolutely stupid.

No, he simply has issues about seeing a sprite follow him everywhere no matter where he went. It adds to the paranoia.

But in any case, please make that feature optional in the settings. That would be awesome. =3

Why don't we add pretty much any water Pokemon? IMO, Lapras looks even more silly.

And I gave an honest answer. Problem?
 
Here's my honest answer:

Yes, it does hinder gameplay, especially when I'm trying to walk back and forth in a single small patch of grass. I get a half-second pause every time I try to turn around if I'm not mid-run.
 
Oh lol I don't think I had this problem, and none of the few people I know irl that played it had it too... that's just sad. :C
 
I never had the problem, or at least don't remember it. I liked the feature, and would like it to be optional in future games.
 
I loved my Pokemon following you! I really wished it could have been in Pokemon Black and White. I'm very sure it will return in a future game. Ruby and Sapphire Remakes?
 
I hated it, then it grew me... Then like the above people said, you have to wait like 1/2 second so you can actually move... I would like it to come back, but please make it optional :L
 
I really liked the idea that Pokemon could follow you around. It just makes things seem funner, and it's cool to see what their over-world sprites look like.
 
I really liked it. It was fantabulous.
The only thing I disliked was the 2 seconds that passed when the pokemon walking with you was performing a hm.

Maybe they'll add it to the third version (along with Battle Frontier, animated sprites, etc).
 
It should have been an option in Black/White. Like in the party menu, have a little toggle between on/off regarding the Pokemon following you around. It was a great concept in HGSS, really making it more personal and adventurous.
 
This feature should have been available in Pokemon Black/White. However, it does take a long time to make sprites for all the 5th generation Pokemon and update the previous generations. Hopefully they will re-add this feature into the future games and include more options....
