Doctor Who: New companion anyone?

I don't know jack about Top Gear...sorry...
 
I watch Top Gear a lot on BBC America. It's mostly about cars, predominantly British models as it is the UK's version of the show (there is an American one, but the UK's has a lot more humor in it). I'm not a fan of Doctor Who, but my dad is and used to watch it religiously until last year or so.
 
I don't watch much TV but I do love Mock the Week when it's on - 'tis my kind of humour :D

Well my dad...
And our whole community of parents...
And us kids don't watch it religiously, that's just stupid lol. (One certain mom's argument is that it's "too violent" hmm. Kids show promoting non violence obviously=VERY VIOLENT OH NUU CAINT LET MAH KID WATCH DIS)
Religiously watching things is annoying. I have MUCH better things to do.
Like being religious.

I just never saw the appeal of Doctor Who, but my dad was totally nuts for it for the longest time. He almost never missed an episode (until last year, anyways, when he sort of got out of it). On a side note, he was the same way with shows like Star Trek and Stargate too.
 
I love Star Trek too...
It's mostly just typical sci-fi nerd stuff.
Allthough how someone can turn down time travel I honestly am at a loss to explain.
