Hello fellow PokeBeachers! Have you ever wanted to get a taste of competitive battling? Are the tournaments in PokeBeach Gaming Activities very difficult or challenging for many of you? Well look no further - this tournament is designed for players that have a tendency to play a bit more casual than others. Not only that, but hopefully you guys can start to get more into competitive battling yourselves and start to explore all of the neat strategies and fun with it!
For this tournament, we will be using an online Pokemon battle emulator called Pokemon Online. If you don't have it or never used it, read this.

Tournament Rules
Basic Rules:
- Species Clause
-You cannot have two or more of the same species of a Pokémon on your team.
-- Example: You cannot have two Charmander on your team. - Uber Clause
- Pokémon in the "Uber" tier list are not allowed to be on your team (besides the Pokemon listed in the special rules section). These Pokemon are: Arceus, Blaziken, Darkrai, Deoxys (Normal and Attack formes only), Dialga, Garchomp, Giratina (both formes), Groudon, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Lugia, Mewtwo, Palkia, Rayquaza, Reshiram, Shaymin-S, and Zekrom
-- Because they have not been officially released, Keldeo, Meloetta (both formes), and Genesect may not be used on any team.
--- The use of Drizzle + Swift Swim is also deemed Uber. - Sleep Clause
- You cannot put two of your opponent's Pokémon asleep at the same time.
-- Using moves that put your own Pokémon to sleep like rest will not trigger the Sleep Clause. - Evasion Clause
- A Pokémon cannot use moves or items that directly increase its evasion stat.
-- Sand Veil and Snow Cloak do not break this clause. BrightPowder and Lax Incense do break this clause. - Freeze Clause
- You cannot freeze two of your opponent's Pokémon. - OHKO Clause
- A Pokémon cannot use moves OHKO moves.
-- Example: Fissure - Self-KO Clause
- If both players are down to one Pokémon each, you are not allowed to use a move that KOs both Pokémon to force a tie.
-- If a recoil damage move forces a tie, then the Self-KO Clause does not trigger. Please notify Steadfast if this happens during your match. - Matches will be 6 vs. 6
Additional Rules:
- Players may not be overly experienced in competitive battling. If you are anything more than a beginner at competitive battling, please do not join. A beginner, which is allowed, would be someone who is familiar with EV's, basic movesets and basic strategies. If you're advanced in any of those, again, please don't join. If you think you have a bit of experience in competitive battling, please also don't join. This is solely for those with minimal to no understanding of competitive battling. If you want to join, but are unsure of your skill level please PM me and we can sort things out.
For those unfamiliar with tiers, a list of all Pokemon not allowed in this tournament can be found here. Those are Ubers, along with banned abilities this generation. If your opponent uses any of those Pokemon, abilities, or breaks any other rule, please contact me. Also, please let me know if you don't understand some of these rules or have any questions. I would suggest you to PM me, and I can try and give you a better understanding from there with whatever is needed.
There will be no cap on the number of players, until we get registrations. Once we get to good tournament numbers like 16 and 32, I might cut off there unless more and more people are still wanting to join.
