Can you pokegear 3.0 without revealing a supporter because the card reads

Look at the top 7 cards of your deck. You may reveal a supporter card you find there and put it into your hand. Shuffle the other cards back into your deck.


It says you may which makes me think do tou have to reveal the supporter
 
Yes, you have to reveal because the may refers to the whole action, not just the reveal. I.e. you may reveal and take a supporter or you may just look at the top 7 cards and not reveal and not take a supporter.
 
A general rule for search effects in TCG's (not just Pokémon) is if not revealing the card would make it incredibly easy to cheat, you have to reveal the card.

So if it is completely generic search, you don't have to reveal the card, because any card in your deck is a legal target. Pokégear 3.0 can only fetch a Supporter, so if you take a card, you must reveal it so that you can prove you're not adding a Pokémon or Energy or non-Supporter Trainer to your hand.
 
The other thing here is just to parse the english.

That's all one "thing" - it's not you may do this, and you may do this other thing. If you don't choose to reveal a supporter, then you're not putting it into your hand.
