I couldn't see this posted anywhere else, and I thought it was worth checking out.

151 artists were selected to create artwork based on the first 151 Pokemon for the Light Grey Art Gallery in Minneapolis. Check out the awesome artwork here:

I got Jynx coz I thought it was a cool interpretation... other favourites are Ditto, Team Rocket and Charizard... cool huh?

This is very interesting, all of the art is good, I dee where dmaster got his avatar.
 
Those are really good. Some are disturbing (Jigglypuff, Clefairy, Kangaskhan) but others are pretty funny, like the Farfetch'd. :D
 
These are nice, I like! Some of them are quite strange LOL. Aaaaaaaahhhhh :O that ditto one is super creeeepyy!!!!!
 
LOL kangaskhan looks like an Adventure Time character! LOL freakilicious : P Porygon is prolly my favorite one

Porygon is awesome, the Gengar creeps me a bit D:>
 
Wow. Most of it looks good, but others look...weird, like Raichu and Fearow.
I wonder if they have ideas to do it with the other gens.

Imagine how maybe Chandelure could be displayed. 0_o

With how off the wall some of these artists are, I wouldn't be surprised to see something like this:

Anyway, here's the thread that I couldn't find! lol Here I thought that nobody had posted about this and was sad about that but I see it got posted even before I changed my avatar and now I'm happy. This collection is really quite great. I was thinking of buying at least one print, but $40 is pretty darn expensive for me at the moment, at least for art.

Well, I didn't really think about that. I was thinking about something...creepier.
Talking about creepy, I don't think little kids should see Victreebel. That's just disturbing. D:
 
They're great because they interpret how Pokemon might interact in the real world... or they just make puns out of them. :)

The Misty one freaks me out, but that's why I like it. There's something reeeeeally messed up about it, in an awesome way that means I have to keep looking at it. :p
 
[member]Matryoshka[/member] has a Meowth one of these. Creepy little thing, I must say. All the detail in its face doesn't look a thing like Sugimori's art style.
 
This is really cool... I flipped through them, and I have to say that Tentacool, Cloyster and Gengar are really creepy o_O
Not to mention the horror that is Victreebell.

Pinsir is so cute for some reason .O.

Too bad they didn't do the rest though.
 
Charmeleon and Blastoise made me wat. Wartortle...WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU D: He looks like he had a very bad reaction to poison ivy.
 
Haha, what an interesting selection:
- Someone decided to make Arcanine deranged.
- Farfetch'd... well, it's obvious what happened there.
- Dewgong by Friendly Design Company has a pretty nice theme to it.
- The gallery matches the styles for Vulpix and Ninetales as well as Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan. I approve.
- That is one awesome Rhydon.
- If there was one thing that I didn't expect, it was an adorable Electabuzz. I dawww'd.
- Clearly, they had a limited choice of Eeveelution art if they seriously picked those.
- ... 150? Oh, there's one more page for Me- OH WHAT IN THE NAME OF ARCEUS IS THAT?!

Regardless, I was sad to see that this website no longer exists and the gallery of amazing work by the artists is not viewable.

Does anyone have links to view the art online? Or do we have to get together and post pictures of all of us who bought a print holding them up in a selfie? 😂
