Guiding questions:
1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
5. How's the artwork?

Posts MUST be several sentences long with proper grammar and spelling or they will be deleted - this forum is to discuss specific cards so other people can learn about their potential in the current metagame.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?

1. On it's own it literally cannot be played. It's the best pokemon search card in hgss-on and at least 3-4 in every deck

2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?

2. Any that have pokemon.

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?

3. I can't think of any "specific combos" but just using it to get whatever pokemon you need

4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).

5/5. It's a staple card in every deck :)

5. How's the artwork?

5/5. I like this one alot better than HGSS. looks more "official" I guess you could say

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?

Like any trainer it cant be played on its own. It needs the pokemon to search out.

2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?

Every deck that needs to search out pokemon.

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?

It can be used to return rhyperior lvl x back to the deck to search it with mew(prime) in mewperior decks.. You can return uxie back to search uxie out. This will thin your hand out allowing you to draw more with uxie's "set up" poke power.

4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).

I rate it 5 of 5, for its use in every deck imaginable

5. How's the artwork?

It is average for a trainer (item). There is nothing special about the drawing, coloring, or positioning of the image.

Guiding questions:
1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?

It is a good card and worth being played. It can be good on its own but shines when it is used in conjunction with supporters.

2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?

_all of them_. Or, should I say, any deck which uses pokemon of any kind. Jokes aside, any deck which should be able to afford that one extra slot.

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?

On it's own, it's not that great - it is good to supplement a Juniper engine - You put pokemon you can't currently play into your deck, then get pokemon out, play them, THEN juniper. The same can be said about Professor Oak's new Theory. It's also really good with judge for the same reason. Pokemon Collector also synergizes with it - if you need two basics, get three - then trade that third one back in with communication for an evolution card.

Also, in decks which need a pokemon to be in your deck and not your hand (the only ones I can think of are Mewperior and Legend Box).

Also, it can be used to evade getting your pokemon lost zoned by Gengar prime.

4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).

5/5, every deck worth it's weight will run at least one. Most will run two or three, though; four is normally unnecessary and could be replaced with junk arms.

The artwork is fine; but it leaves something to be desired. I liked the old computer search better (similar card, similar artwork)

5. How's the artwork?

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
It's a great Trainer card. It goes in nearly every deck, and allows for more lines than one would normally have without, without sacrificing much, if any, consistency.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
It's not meta if it doesn't have PokéComm standard (but in all seriousness, nearly all meta decks run it. The only one I can think of that wouldn't is MewPerior, but that's just such a different deck from any other).
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
You can run a lot more lines with it, but I wouldn't say there are really "combos." It's just a useful card.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
4.5/5 for a Trainer. Such a helpful card...
5. How's the artwork?
Mehhhhh. The thing looks like an old joystick videogame.

Guiding questions:
1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
- Terrible on it's own, as it's a trainer card :p but it's a GREAT card, definitly worth being played in ANY deck as every deck needs pokemon! And with no Bebe's search after rotation, this card will really shine :)

2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
- Any deck that uses pokemon

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
- Works well if you have a pokemon collector in hand, collect for two basic's you need then use this to swap out your 3rd basic for stage 1/2

4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the
thread itself (out of 5 stars).
- Current meta 3.5/5, After rotation 5/5

5. How's the artwork
- I personally like the HGSS poke communication artwork better (especially the R/H *drool*)

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
It's a great card, but cannot stand on its own, since it's a trainer card. But yes, it is certainly worth being played.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
All of them, maybe apart from Mewpherior. Basically every deck that needs to search for a Pokemon has to have at least two of them.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
As said before, it can combo with Pokemon Collector (seach for unnecessary basic and then switch it with this card), or with Uxie LA - you can just send it back and get it again and "waste" 1 card from your hand with it.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
5/5, since (almost) noone could play without this card.
5. How's the artwork?
Kind of... Plastic-looking. The pic is also too slow and the background takes too much place. HS version looked nicer, even though I like the BW trainer blank more than the one from previous era.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
In my opinion it is certainly worth being played.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
Pokemon's the only game that could fit with this.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
You can put like 4 in your deck so then you wait until you get 3 then get cards like Sandile Krokorok and Krookodile.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
5/5 It's an excellent card with lots of good combos in stock.
5. How's the artwork?
The artwork isn't that bad compared to the other Black and White cards.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
1a. It can't be used on it's own as it needs a Pokemon in your hand for it to work (like Energy Exchanger for Energies) 1b. It has Nice Potential and 1c. Yes. all decks Rogue or Meta should have at least 3

2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
Umbretar, Emboar, Zekrom and anything rogue

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
I can't think of any good combos, but it can be good to get out a Umbreon, Smeargle or any pokemon you desperately need in the heat of the moment

4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
5/5 Stars, it's a VERY common staple in 90% of everyone's decks nowadays

5. How's the artwork?
3.75/5 Stars, I like the Minccino Silhouette on the screen, but it looks like a arcade game mixed with the video phones in the Pokemon Centers in the anime (I honestly prefer the Surfing Pikachu Comms pic more :)
