Pokemon Pokemon designs getting Weirder?

hello.i am just wondering...recently, i saw new pokemons ( in the 3rd and 4th gen.) which were more complicatedly designed than those in the previous generations. New pokemons are starting to get weirder at every new gen. my brother said some look like digimon already lol.
( especially Blaziken, Giradina, Rayquaza and more )
...any opinions bout this?...
 
WEll, considering that they have to base them on humanoids, legends, animals, or inanimate objects, it makes sense that they'd ve getting wierder. Unless you want to see something looking like a stapler.
 
I have always thought blaziken looks like a digimon. It is understandable that they are getting weirder because with each generation they have fewer new ideas so they have to try and make the pokemon seem fresh and new. Not all of the 4th gen are weird. We now have pokemon based on animals such as penguins and rabbits. Some of the new evolutions for previous pokemon are a bit weird.
 
Whoo, someone else that thinks they are getting weirder! I think they are starting to look like digimon too, especially the legends.
 
Yes they are getting much weirder like whats with all the mustaches its very weird.

I don't think the designs are getting wierder, just they are looking more like Digimon with every passing generation.
 
Remember that they have to desing new pokemon with new animals without making them looks too much like other pokemon.
 
iunno..some kinda look like digimon in my opinion especially when i saw Blaziken, it doesnt look that much like a chicken anymore ( it has human feet!! )
 
The pre evoled form of Chansey is HIDEOUS!!!!!!!-I really do not care if i spelt that wrong.It looks like a piece of bubblegum that someone spit out!(with alot of food stuck to it!)
 
Some are stupid like that hippo one doesn't even look like a pokemon! It looks like a fake or something.

But most of them are really great and even ones I didn't like like the togetic evo I like.
 
There not getting wierder, they are just changing their style. Ken Sugimori took more of a Supervisial (sp?) role during the 3rd Gen and has continued doing so through the 4th Gen. The outcome has been the style change. I personally like the difference in Pokemon.
 
Well of course they have to start getting weirder and WEIRDER!!! because it is the 4th generation after all and they have to re-create whole brand new original pokemon ideas and characters so cut the creators some slack!,so far they hav'nt let us down with the great ones they have created so i think that they are getting weirder BUT for a reason! :D
