Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl Adventure! (Manga)

This was kind of a strange manga that I just happened to come across while skimming the book section at a local Walmart a while ago. The comic was about this young boy named Hareta who supposedly grew up in the wilderness outside of Sandgem Town in the Sinnoh region, and chronicles his adventures with a girl named Mitsumi and his partner Pokemon Piplup. At first I thought it was a joke, since I'd never heard of this title before then and it was very quick paced compared to a lot of the stuff I'm used to reading, but I found the storyline quite enjoyable. So, I was wondering if anyone else has read this, and if so what did you think?
 
I have volumes 1, 2, 4, and 5 so far. I was trying to get all of them, but then the Walmart suddenly stopped carrying them... There were a couple bookstores/comic shops that I knew also carried this manga, but it disappeared from them as well for some reason... A shame too, because it was actually really comical I thought and fun to read.
 
I've got all the released volumes (= 7), and... yeah, I love it. It's the best Pokémon manga I've ever read. Way better than Pokémon Adventures usually is, at least. :3

Too bad there's just one volume to go...
 
Ah! So there was just going to be a limited number of ones released. It didn't seem like it was going to be a continuing series like most manga. But, yeah, a pity there are only eight...

Also, I've never read Pokemon Adventures and, after hearing some bad rumors about that series to begin with, I wasn't sure how much I'd like Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl Adventure. Granted, it was a bit more cartoony than a lot of the typical things I read (like Naruto and, less frequently, Bleach), but overall this manga was very good.
