OK chapter 2
Chapter 2: The Realization
I awoke to a still darkness. "Hello?" I asked to no one in particular, "Maybe it was just a dream." I said with a sigh after no one answered. :What was a dream?: said a sleepy and very familiar voice. My eyes shot open. "Mom?" I questioned hopefully. "No you idiot, its Chiko!!" I jumped out with a start. "I'm still a Pikachu?!?!" "Of course you are, were you born yesterday?!?!" I'm honestly not sure, I thought. "What is your problem anyways?!" Should I tell her, I thought to myself, she's the only one I've met in..... wherever I am. "I.. I" "Yeah, get on with it" "I'm... not from here" "Well apparently, this is Placid Meadow, only grass Pokemon live here." Chiko said with a your-an-idiot smirk on her face, "Okay let's start slowly. How about we give each other names? You already know mine now what's yours?" "It's.... Cody." "Cody," she said as if pondering over the name. Then she burst out laughing as if something was funny or she was becoming hysterical. "What's so funny?" I said trying to get in on the joke. "That's just (hee hee) such a weird (hee hee) name." "So is Chiko!!" I yelled, starting to get on the offensive. "Excuse me, but Chiko is a very popular name for a female Chikorita. I mean, what kind of name is Cody? A popular name for a male Pikachu would be Sparky or even Sparks." "Well maybe I'm not a male Pikachu, maybe I'm a human!!" I yelled feeling really angry at Chiko all of the sudden. "What?!?!?" "Yeah I'm a human. That's why I went crazy yesterday!!"Chiko went completely silent, as if trying to comprehend such a thought."The problem is," I started as I went on a story-telling rampage, "The only thing I remember from when I was human is my name. I don't even remember my parents names, or even if I had any siblings!" After that I started to cry. "I'm so confused and out of place here..... And I'm not even sure if I want to go home because I don't know if my life was great and carefree or if I had a completely horrible life." I then stood up, "I can see I've wasted enough of your time as it is.... so I'll just leave."
With that I began to walk away, still crying. After about ten minutes of walking I sat down and kept on crying. I wasn't long after I heard the sound of footsteps coming towards me (I found that I could hear a lot better with my black-tipped Pikachu ears). When I finally looked up I could see Chiko looking at me with sad eyes. "I'm sorry for yelling at you.... I wasn't aware of your... situation." She said trying to be careful with her words. "It's not a situation... it's a lifestyle change." I said trying to make it sound better than it was. "OK.... Chiko said seeing this was a tender subject, "but whatever it is I am willing to help you through it. I mean, there has to be a reason that you were turned into a Pikachu. So maybe this isn't permanent."
"Yeah," I said sadly still trying to find a silver lining to this dark, dark cloud. "Maybe I will change back. In the meaning this could be a chance of a lifetime." I said sarcastically. "In the mean time," Chiko said ignoring the sarcasm, "we should try to find out why you turned into Pikachu in the first place." "OK...." I said starting to like the idea, "If I can figure out why I'm a Pikachu maybe I'll be able to change back into a human!" "We should first head to Pokemon Square where there is a lot of gossip. That way we can hear some rumors and decide if anyone has any idea about your.... lifestyle change." She said using the words I had used much earlier. "Let's go then...." I said sleepily. "Not today. First you need to get some sleep. Then we can leave after that. Cody?" She said not noticing I was a sleep. "Looks like he got the message." She said with a smile.
yay!!! happy ending in the second chapter!
