Prologue:

A dark, shadow loomed menacingly over the entire Sinnoh region. It was a gray, starless night and the wind was whistling a particularly unpleasant tune through the tall reeds that covered the shoreline of Lake Acuity. The beloved sound of the song of the Kricketune had disappeared and the other forest dwelling Pokemon had returned to their homes inside the trees and earth. There was a frosty chill in the air, not unlike the ones that the dwelling Pokemon had long since become accustomed to. And yet a new, unusual chill made the water-dwelling Pokémon’s spines shiver.

A nearby Bidoof watched the dark, gray storm clouds gather in the sky above like a shadow claw attack poised for impact. Suddenly, a torrent of rain was released and a harsh gale arose, bending the tallest of trees to the earth and sending multiple wild Pokemon scurrying frantically, searching for a safer refuge. A streak of lightning illuminated the sky and a roar of booming thunder erupted from every direction.

Under the surface of the water, a sleek, blue figure with a golden crown and twin, glistening tails floated, unmoving in the icy water. Its eyes were closed as if meditating, seemingly unaware of the situation at hand. But under the golden eyelids, two eyes lay that saw more than anyone could ever have known. It saw the past and the future and things that you or I could only see in nightmares. The being knew that what was happening now was not a natural thing. For long enough only to glance quickly around it flashed its curious, golden eyes open. Then with a flash of power, Uxie teleported away and not a bubble was left in its place.

Bubbles rose silently to the surface of Lake Valor as countless numbers of Pokemon swam peacefully through the warm waters of the lake. A similar being rested at the bottom of the lake with a blue crown upon its head and a beautiful ruby implanted on its head and two tails. No air emerged when it breathed quietly in and out in its dreamy slumber. But on this particular night, its dreams were not those of happiness or love but instead they were nightmares filled with darkness and evil. With its round, curious eyes it saw a shadow looming over it with two icy blue eyes that stung its heart like a dagger. Its dark claws seemed to reach out to it and ensnare it, causing it to twist and turn violently in the calm waters. But the problem for Azelf was, it couldn’t wake up.

Floating atop the surface of Lake Verity, Mesprit watched the sky with glowing, golden eyes. As the menacing clouds continued to tumble, Mesprit sensed the danger at hand and put up a psychic sheild to protect itself. Seconds later twin balls of burning flame bounced off the force field and landed in smoking heaps upon the ground. The pink-crowned being prepared to attack its assailant with a psychic attack but all that came was a cruel laugh, cold enough to strike fear into the strongest of Tentacruel. After another couple minutes, Mesprit returned to the bottom of the lake and concentrated its mind to connect telepathically with that of Uxie and Azelf. Its thoughts connected with the others and the communicated using their thoughts.

“Something is wrong” Uxie remarked seriously
“My dreams have been overcome by shadows” Azelf replied worriedly.
“We can’t let the world fall out of balance like this!” Mesprit exclaimed.
“What do we do?” Asked Azelf looking expectantly at Uxie.
A grin spread across Mesprit’s face, “Hey, Uxie, you know everything, what DO we do?”
“We must connect our powers using psychic to call for help.” Replied Uxie turning to the others regarding their expressions with what could almost be called interest.
“What?!” Mesprit stammered, “But it could disrupt the balance of nature, we might call someone from earth!”
“We have no choice” Replied Azelf already calling upon its powers over psychic.
“Fine, lets do it” Mesprit conceded, “But if we doom the world don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Here's Chapter 1

On the other side of Sinnoh, another being felt a tremble in the balance of nature. Being a Pokemon, it seemed to always be intact with its ways and even somewhat connected with nature. Something had caused this and he knew who it was. A small spot in its heart stung when it thought about this but he was not one to be overcome. It grinned with a hit of regret as it recalled the unusual occurrences of the previous days.

Darkrai floated slowly across the empty sky, carefully watching the earth below, making sure that all was right. Sometimes it felt like a burden, having to spend its life defending nature like the other legendary Pokemon, which was their job. He cursed as he saw countless numbers of Pokemon being forced to battle for the humans, like slaves, it was ridiculous! Just then, a group of Drifblim and Drifloon floated happily by singing their windy tune. Quickly, the full moon Pokemon hid himself inside a large puffy cloud to avoid being seen. He knew that if any of the legendary Pokemon were captured by humans and used for selfish human purposes the balance of nature could be set off and cause massive destruction. He wondered whether that would really b all that bad, the world was already a rotten place and if it was destroyed… He forgot his watching duty and pondered over the idea.

Suddenly, he was surrounded by a group of angry Dusknoir. Before the full moon Pokemon could react, it was bombarded by a rapid-fire shadow ball attack. The unsuspected attack took it by surprise but as soon as it had gathered its wits, it reversed the attack using protect to raise a barrier around itself. Then with a swing of its arm it launched all of the half-dozen Dusknoir into an empty sleep. Satisfied that they were out of the battle, Darkrai turned away from the sleeping Pokemon. But before it had left the area, a large, black battleship rose from beneath the clouds. It was the shape of a large, circular ball with 6 wings, and a row of missiles aligned two per wing. On top of the craft, a tall, robed man with a top hat and an evil glow in his eyes stood laughing. “Did you actually believe I would let you evade my grasp a second time?” The man asked with a maniacal laugh. With a shake of a small bell in his hand the sleeping Dusknoir flashed back to consciousness. Within seconds the Full Moon Pokemon was surrounded once more by the ghost Pokemon and it seemed that putting them to sleep would not be much of an option anymore.

“Millian!’ Darkrai exclaimed angrily to the man atop the craft.

“Oh, I’m so glad you remember!” the man named Millian replied evilly, “This time I’m not falling for that cheap trick of yours you used last time! Dusknoir! Fire punch!”
The dark Pokemon responded by igniting their powerful arms with searing hot flames. Their punches hit dead on sending Darkrai whirling into the air. With a flick of his wrist Millian sent a powerful master ball hurling toward it. Just in time, it launched a shadow ball attack, reversing the ball’s direction. Millian easily caught the ball and laughed menacingly, “Give yourself up, Darkrai; I’ll give you three chances! Get in the ball!”
Once again he threw the ball towards the Pokemon. Darkrai barely avoided the ball and quickly launched a dark pulse attack at Millian. The man stood perfectly still. Seconds before the attack hit, one of the Dusknoir put himself between the attack and its trainer. The Pokemon then fell out of the sky and began plummeting toward the ground below.

“Go away, Millian, or I’ll give you a double dose of what you got last time!” Darkrai exclaimed angrily.

“Never!” he cried flinging the ball for the third time. Again the shadow Pokemon dodged the ball and sent it back the thrower.

“Last chance, Darkrai!” Millian exclaimed.

“Why should I?” Darkrai demanded

“Because I could help you teach those stupid Pokemon trainers a lesson!”

“Are you not a Pokemon trainer?”

“Of course not! I treat my Pokemon as friends and companions, not slaves!” Millian replied looking somewhat offended.

“Some friend you are!” Darkrai exclaimed staring at the electrical devices strapped around each of the ghost Pokemons’ waists.

“Do you like them?” Millian asked with a hint of pride in his voice, “They’re my latest invention; they allow a Pokemon to stay in the air for an unlimited amount of time, even while asleep”
Darkrai thought for a moment then replied, “I will come with you but no balls.” Reluctantly, Millian dropped the ball over the side of the craft and invited Darkrai to come and have a talk about their future together.

Daren had been a Pokemon fan for as long as he could remember. He knew the episodes by heart; he had won multiple Pokemon tcg Championships; He had collected almost all 493 Pokemon plush; and every inch of his wall was covered in Pokemon artistry, made by him. But the one thing he hadn’t done was travel to the Pokemon world. He could check that off his list. His head was still aching from hitting it during the fall and at first he could barely remember anything. When his head stopped aching he tried to remember. Then it all came back to him.

He had just gotten home from school and had gone up to his room to examine his Pokemon cards for the fifty billionth time that week. Just then he heard a cry for help. The voice was quiet but sounded as if it was coming from inside his room. After a quick search he determined that it was all in his head. Just as he had decided upon this he heard another voice. “Help, help, help save Sinnoh.” The voices were definitely coming from inside his head but no matter how hard he tried he couldn’t get them out. He decided to lay down on his soft bed (with a Pokemon bedspread) and cover his head with a pillow but the voices only got louder. Then suddenly he felt a strong suction pulling at his body, yanking him through a portal like he had seen in movies. First his arms and legs began to sink, then his body, then finally, his head disappeared and he felt himself falling unstoppably through space.

He didn’t remember much after that except for that he had hit his head during the fall and apparently had cut his leg on a tree. This deduction caused him to leap up and look quickly around him. He wondered curiously where he had landed and by whom had he been transported here? Suddenly, a rustle came from a nearby bush causing Daren to jump back in alarm. From the bush popped a bright, orange chimp with a small flame for a tail and two large, monkey ears.

“Who are you” The creature exclaimed worriedly, “Are you okay”

‘Yes, I’m okay, I’m Daren from America and I was transported here by some sort of…” Then he stopped realizing what he was saying, “You’re a Chimchar!!!!!”

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Chimchar asked again.
“You…you’re…you’re a…a POKEMON!!!” Daren exclaimed in disbelief, “And I’m t…t…TALKING TO YOU!”

“Ya duh!’ Chimchar replied looking insulted, “There are lots of Pokemon around Lake Varity!”

Daren felt like fainting. Chimchar’s tone changed to concern.

“Wait, you said that you were from America,” Said Chimchar, “Do you mean, from earth?”

Daren nodded silently. Chimchar was about to speak again when a sound of cracking trees came from inside the forest. The two turned to see large groups of small Pokemon rushing away from the sound.

“What are they running away from??” Daren asked Chimchar.

“Don’t ask! Just look out!” Chimchar cried knocking Daren into a bush seconds before a hoard of rampaging Donphan came rolling quickly by.

“Chimchar thanks!” Daren exclaimed gratefully. But then it was Daren’s turn to get worried.

“What?” Chimchar asked noticing the look of worry on the boys face,

“Why did the noise stop?” Daren replied

Chimchar opened his mouth to speak but before it got the chance, a hiss came from behind. Just in time, Daren grabbed Chimchar and leapt out of the way as a large black snake dug its fangs into the dirt where the two had been only seconds before.

“Thanks,” Chimchar said, “Now time to handle Mr. Nasty!”

Ina flash, Chimchar’s body lit up with flames and it charged full force toward the Seviper. The snake Pokemon simply batted the flaming Pokemon back toward Daren with ease. Daren dodged and looked straight into the snake Pokémon’s eyes. They were black as soot and seemed almost unnatural, but before he had a moment to think, a blast of flame launched from behind, hitting the viper Pokemon dead on, sending it hurling into the air.

“There was something weird about that Seviper,’ Chimchar remarked. Even as he spoke these words, dark clouds began rolling across the sky, blotching out the sun.

“That’s strange,” Daren thought aloud, “Just a moment ago it was bright and sunny and now it’s dark and rainy”

“We’d better go find shelter,” Chimchar replied, “Before it starts pouring.”

Oh well, here's Chapter 2

Shaymin cursed. It was standing on top of Mt. Coronet watching another battle between time and space, looking not a bit amused.

“Why do you two have to fight so much?” Shaymin asked exasperated.

Not taking any notice of the Bush Pokemon’s question, the pearl-armored Pokemon launched a special rend attack, slicing at the diamond-armored Pokemon’s chest, sending it hurling into the lake below. When the enormous Pokemon’s body hit the water, a tremendous splash occurred, drenching the Bush Pokemon’s fur completely. Shaymin shook its fur indignantly.

“That’s the last pedal!” It exclaimed angrily.

In a flash of green light, the small bush Pokemon transformed into a taller, sleeker figure with wings and two leaves sprouting from its head. With a flap of its wings it was airborne and soared gracefully into the battle. It quickly dove between the two, distracting them momentarily and causing Palkia to turn angrily at the interference. In rage the space Pokemon launched a blast of blue energy, creating a large circular portal.

“Perfect!” Shaymin smirked.

By flapping its beautiful, white wings, it easily generated a cyclone, sending the portal back toward the opposing Pokemon. They were quickly inhaled by the vortex and disappeared from the dimension. Satisfied, the Pokemon returned to its peaceful slumber. But it couldn’t seem to find the will to sleep as it watched the dark clouds roll across the sky and enormous droplets of rain, a quarter of the size of Shaymin itself, fell in an untamable torrent.

“That’s funny” Shaymin remarked uneasily, “This definitely isn’t natural.”

With that it set off to find a safer place to sleep and to keep dry. Eventually, it came across another tall mountain, the stony exterior was warm and Shaymin like heat. So without thought it lay down peacefully to sleep.

Darkrai wondered if this was really necessary. His new partner and he had just entered a tall, golden temple inside of Snowpoint city. With ease, the full moon Pokemon had cast the villagers into a deep sleep allowing the two to enter the temple unnoticed. Once inside, they were confronted with a large wall, blocking their path.

“Watch,” Millian instructed calmly.

Then he flung three ultra balls into the air. From the balls came three beings, one of stone; one of iron; and one of ice. Each being had seven beady, red eyes and each ones body seemed to glow in the darkness of the temple.

“Regirock, Ancient Power, Registeel, Metal Bomber, and Regice, Ice Beam!” Millian commanded.

The three Pokemon launched their attacks in unison, shattering the wall. The robed man then absorbed the Pokemon into their balls. Behind the wall an enormous staircase wound down into a dark chamber. Darkrai floated calmly down the stairs beside his companion, seeming uneasy. At the base of the stairs, the duo faced a long fragile hallway, the floor was cracked in many places and it seemed that a Jigglypuff’s weight could tumble the floor into whatever lay below. Millian nodded to his Pokemon companion and unleashed a Dusknoir from its ball. Holding on to the Pokemon, they easily crossed the deathly floor. At the end of the hall, a door stood closed. Above the door, the words ‘The tower of nations’ were engraved in the stone wall. Slowly Millian opened the door and stepped inside the room.

Millian once more unleashed his three Pokemon from their Pokeballs. The three beings simultaneously sank into the ground as if being pulled by an unstoppable force. Darkrai stared in horror but Millian only laughed wickedly. In the center of the triangle the Regis had formed, an enormous Pokemon arose and let out an incredible roar. The creatures’ legs and arms were covered in bushes and its body was a pure white. It had seven eyes and large claws on its arms. Wasting no time, Millian hurled the master ball at the enormous creature, sealing it inside. _____________________________________________________________________________

Daren paced around the small cavern trying desperately to figure out what the voice in head (which had still not disappeared) was. Chimchar watched as he sat on a rock and pondered over what to do.

“Dude?” The fire chimp asked quietly, “Are you sure you’re okay? You’re acting kinda weird.”

“I don’t know,” Daren replied, shaking his head uncertainly, “There is this voice in my head and I can’t get it out.”

“Well have you tried talking to it?” Chimchar replied, “That’s what I do whenever my stomach is growling.”

“You want me to talk to a voice in my head?” Daren exclaimed in surprise.

“Why not, it should put up a lively conversation,” Chimchar joked.

“Okay, I’ll try. Hello voice in my head, what do you want?” Daren asked looking annoyed.

No reply came.

“This is stupid!” Daren exclaimed, “Not only am I talking to a Chimchar but I’m also talking to a little person in my head!”

Suddenly, a new voice echoed in Daren’s mind, “Go outside!”

Following the noise, Daren exited the cave and found himself bathed in moonlight. He was standing upon the very shore of Lake Verity and the view couldn’t have been more beautiful. A thin mist rolled across the glistening lake and Daren could see the shadows of the Pokemon moving throughout the water. He recognized each and every one of them, Lumineon, Finneon, Piplup, Psyduck, and… In the center of the fog, Daren saw the outline of a small, floating Pokemon, its tails swinging in perfect sink with the tranquil movements of the water. Daren stared breathlessly at first, his mouth to dry to speak.

But after a moment of waiting he found his words and remarked calmly, “You sent me here.” The being nodded then responded with a series of motions, sending telepathic waves into the boys mind. “You spoke to me using telepathy,” Daren said as his mind began to flood with images. He saw a shadow rolling across the skies of Sinnoh, darkening the light and plunging the world into blackness.

“This is what you must do…” The Pokemon began.

Thanks, I should have the next chapter up later today!:)

So sorry about taking so long, we started school early and I was really busy, but here it is:

Chapter 3____________________________________________________________
“You want me to save the world!?” Daren exclaimed in shock.

“You are our only hope,” Mesprit replied, “The Psychic call that Uxie, Azelf, and I used calls only the person that is destined to help us”

“You have got to be kidding me!” Daren cried, “I can’t do this!”

“You will need teammates,” Mesprit replied, “Chimchar will assist you, along with Piplup and Turtwig”

From behind, the blue penguin Pokemon appeared. It had a small beak and a blue, scarf-like patch of fur around its neck. Next the green turtle Pokemon appeared. It had a single-leafed twig sprouted up from its head and a shell made of tightly-packed soil upon its back. The two Pokemon looked Daren over carefully and then smiled. Daren weakly smiled back. Then he returned his attention to the pink-crowned Pokemon.

“I can’t do this,” Daren said quietly. With that he turned on his heel and was about to leave when he heard a voice.

“What do you mean you can’t do this?” It was Chimchar, “You saved my life, and if you can save me then you can save all the other Pokemon of the world, and we’ll help you!”

Daren smiled through his tears.

“We believe in you” Mesprit replied.

“What about my world, how will I get back?” Asked Daren. Reluctantly, the floating Pokemon handed a golden, chain necklace to the boy. On the end, was a stone with the shape of the sun.

“This is the solar amulet, it is half of the eclipse orb, the two pieces together can send you back to your own world.”

“Where is the other half?” Daren asked.

“It is in the hands of the evil one, Lord Millian.”

Candice struggled to escape her bonds as she watched the magma begin to ooze toward her. With a little work, she was able to undo the vines around her ankles, allowing her to, with some difficulty, raise herself to a standing position. She found a sharp rock on the wall and cut the cords around her wrists against it. She rubbed her blistered wrist thoroughly and waited until the numbness had gone away, then she edged her way back to the door, escaping just in time before the boiling magma filled the room.

“I have got to tell the others!” She thought to herself as she exited the temple. Quickly, she grabbed her Pokeballs from inside the gym and then hurried off in the direction of Sunnyshore city.

Inside his battleship, Millian sat thinking. He thought of his plan and of his successful capture of Regigigas. But most of all, he thought of a time, a long time ago, when he himself had been a top-rank Pokemon master. Fighting for justice and the good of man-kind, that was the life he had led. He spat as he thought how foolish he had been to waste his life in such things. After many years, he had made an attempt to take control of the world using the power of an ancient artifact called the Eclipse Orb. But the combined powers of Shaymin, Darkrai, and Arceus had defeated him and broken the orb into two separate pieces. He clung to the crescent shaped gem which hung around his neck as he struggled with these memories, eyes aglow with rage
“This time I’ll win! Mark my words, I will win!” He thought to himself.

Darkrai watched the screen in front of him, it was a map Sinnoh region. The map’s detail was incredible, noting all of the different kinds of Pokemon living in any given area. A blue dot moved across the screen, symbolizing the ship’s swift movements across the sky.

“Why?” He asked, puzzled.

“Why what?” Millian replied.

“Why Stark Mountain?”

“It’s the home of Heatran, and that’s all you need to know.”

Puzzled, the Full Moon Pokemon retreated to his quarters to think and rest. Little did he know… he would need it.

The stone around Daren’s neck seemed to glow brighter as the foursome made their way through Hearthome city on their way to the bright and beautiful, Sunnyshore city. It felt good to escape the constant overcast weather on the other side of the region and the result seemed to have a positive effect on the group.

“It’s really peaceful out here!” Turtwig exclaimed with a happy smile.

“No it’s not, this is normal, it was chaos back there,” Chimchar replied, “It’s amazing how much we take we take for granted while the bad guys are hiding.”

“It’s too bad that Mesprit’s teleportation attack couldn’t teleport us further,” Piplup remarked, “My feet are starting to hurt.”

Daren nodded, he was still thinking about his new responsibility, it seemed almost too incredible to bear, but, Mesprit had assured him that it was the only way to get back to earth. So Daren had accepted the challenge. The town was crowded with people; most were dressed in very fine clothes.

“What are they all dressed up for?” Daren asked.

“Haven’t you heard of the Hearthome city Pokemon Contests?” Chimchar replied.

“This doesn’t seem like the time for fun and games,” Daren remarked uneasily

Suddenly, a shriek came from somewhere in the crowd. Everyone turned to see what had happened. Soon they found their answer. A black hound Pokemon with sharp horns and large white fangs leapt through the crowd of people. The people began to run in terror as the Pokemon lunged with its menacing fangs toward them. Daren quickly confronted it and commanded Piplup to use its water gun attack. The hound Pokemon was knocked to the ground by the unexpected attack. The Houndoom glared evilly at Daren, and then it noticed the chain around the boy’s neck. It smirked cruelly, displaying rows of saber-sharp teeth. It lunged, full force, toward the boy who had no time to react. In that split second Daren noticed the darkness that seemed to incase the Pokemon’s eyes, it was cold and unnatural, like the other storms and attacks that had happened so far. Seconds before the Houndoom reached its target, it was blasted by a Shadow Ball attack, sending it tumbling to the ground once more. Daren looked around for the attacker and found a girl in a long violet dress standing next to a Gengar. The girl’s violet hair stood out in four directions forming an X shape.

“You’re Fantina!” Daren exclaimed.

“Yes, but I don’t believe that we’ve met,” The girl replied. Then she looked back at the fainted Houndoom seriously, “There’s not much time to talk though, we have to figure out why that Houndoom acted the way it did, as if it were looking for something.”

Daren looked down at the stone that hung around his neck. He never would have guessed that some rock would cause him so much trouble. He looked back at Fantina and nodded. The purple haired girl released two Drifblim from their balls, the balloon Pokemon floated around happily, satisfied with the wide opened space. She motioned with her arm for daren to get on and then hopped upon her Pokemon likewise. Together the two floated up and up until rising high above the clouds.

“You’re Daren” Fantina remarked.

“How did you know my name?” Daren asked.

“I know lots about you, I know that Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf transported you here to stop Millian and that you’re on your way to Sunnyshore city, as am I” she replied.

“Are we going to fly there?” Daren asked.

“Of course, how else will we get there before the world is destroyed?” She answered with a smile. Daren could find nothing to smile about, only to stare down at the clouds, and hang on for dear life.
