I just got home from a chess tournament where you notate all your moves and then after the game you go through and all the analyze mistakes. wouldn't it be great if we could do this with Pokemon? any ideas?

I've seen someone do it before. Not during the match persay, but right afterwards he wrote up a review of what had previously happened, and all the big things that went on, such as every turn he evolved, every turn a Pokemon was knocked out, etc.

I'm not sure if judges would allow it in tourneys though, because the match would take too long.

The rules actually allow to have a hand made of the cards in your hand, the references and a notebook on which you can take notes. It is also specified that the notebook must remain private and not shown to other competitors until the end of the tournament.

Maybe instead of writing out the whole name put the abreveated form of it when you play it. Instad of writing out pokehandy901 just put DP111. attacks could be difficult though.
