Okay, this is a story that me and my little bro put together. Basucally a "what would happen if we were pokemon trianers" kinda thing. Gwyn would be me, and Ian would be my brother. The mom in the story is nothing like our mom, I promise you. I hope you enjoy the work that me and my brother have put together.

“Hey Ian! You overslept! You will be late to meet Prof. Birch!” What?! I thought I overslept!?! I scrambled to my dresser to get my clothes on.
Now, before you nag the author about not explaining anything, let me. My older sister, Gwyn, and I are going to become Pokemon trainers. Even though my sister is thirteen. Mom wouldn't let her leave me alone, so now, we are about to start our incredible journey of Pokemon. That is, if we aren't too late.
“Okay Mom, I'm going to Prof. Birch. BYE!” I yelled.
“Ian! Stay out of the tall grass! A pokemon might attack you!” Mom warned
“OKAY mom...bye!” I said, trying to escape before she started bawling.
“Wait! Your not leaving your only sister are you?”
“It's okay Mom, I'm right here!” My sister said as she came out of the room. I gave a sigh of relief. I know that my mom might have broken by the second, thank goodness my sister wasn't slowing us down.
“C'mon then...let's get out of here!”And with that, we finally walked out of the house.
Finally! I thought, We reached the lab! But he wasn't there, in fact, the whole room was empty except for three pokeballs on a desk.
“Where here...um Mr. Birch guy...” I whispered.
“Where are you?” My sister added.
“Hello! And who would that be?” Prof. Birch said as he came in. I gave a sigh of relief.
“It's us, Ian and Gwyn. We're here to get our pokemon please.” I asked.
“I hope you know I'm thirteen, and Ian's ten, right?” Gwyn asked.
“Oh! Yes,yes! Of course. Come see the pokemon that you can choose.” He said leading us the desk with the three pokeballs.
“We have Ralts, Seedot, and Poliwag.” Prof. Birch said, introducing us the pokemon.
“okay, can I have Poli-” I was interrupted be the crash of my favorite neighbor, Rubin. Please know that that was a sarcastic comment.
“Hey! Birch guy!I want my pokemon! I'm Da Rubin! I'm going to be the best! I'll crush everyone else! What do you have Birch guy....that Poliwag! I take that!” Rubin said(more liked yelled) and snatched the pokeball out of my hand. “It's mine! Mine!Mine! How cool! Rubin is out!” Rubin said as he finally finished his path of destruction. Well, it was almost finished, he slammed the door, THEN it was over. Man...I thought, that Poliwag looked cool.
“Well I want Ralts please...” Gwyn said.
“Gwyn! I wanted Ralts!” I said.
“Well I got it first!”Gwyn nagged back.
“I guess its Seedot and me.” I said “It's kinda cute now that I see it...” Prof. Birch handed the pokeball to me.
“Okay thank you Prof. birch! I guess we're off.” Gwyn said.
“Wait! Ian and Gwyn! Before you leave...” We turned around to see him “I have a very special mission for you, You have been the most creative, responsible kids I have ever met. I feel that you two together will be a great team. I want you to find all the pokemon in this region so I can study them better. Do you accept this great responsibility?”
“Um, me and my brother will kind of need to privately talk about this.” She pulled us into a huddle. “Okay,” she whispered “we need to figure out the pros and cons of this invitation.”
“Pros and Cons?” I asked.
“The positives and negatives.”
“Okay, well if we go, we're sure to become awesome trainers.”
“But, we wouldn't be able to just stay and hang out much.”
“We would travel to far away places...”
“We would be famous for our discoveries..”
“Well, it looks like we have more pro's, that means say yes.” She said as a final word to our debate.
“Yah, we'll do it.” I said.
“Great! Here, this is called a Pokedex. It will download every pokemon you face, so I will be able to study them.”
“Cool!” We both gasped. He handed me a green pokedex, and Gwyn a blue one. I wonder why he knew so much about kids.
“Gwyn and Ian,” Prof. Birch announced “Welcome to the world of pokemon! You will have hard times, fun times, losing and winning times, and fighting and befriending times. That is what comes with this amazing journey you are about to join. Welcome to the amazing life of a Pokemon Trainer!”
“We should probably go home and tell Mom about this.” Gwyn whispered.
“Come back here so I can give you one more thing, Just tell your parents about your journey.”I gave Gwyn my look that says -I told you so-.
“Just because we had the same idea does not proof the the theory of telepathy!” She hissed. I ignored her. To explain this, my sister is very logical. She does not believe in any kind of superstition. So any time something weird happens, I rub it in her face, adding more proof to superstitions like telepathy, ESP, UFOs, UMAs, and a bunch of other things.
“Okay we'll come back.” I said “Bye Prof. Birch!” We waved and left.
We might have only made it five feet out of the lab before Rubin felt the need to confront us.
“Well, well, well. If it isn't Ian and Gwyn. The worst, most stupid people in the world.”Rubin commented. Yes, the hurt of the words were bleeding, but I couldn't hold myself back.
“Shut up Rubin! C'mon let's battle! Right here and now!”
“I accept your challenge, because, of course, I will win!Go Poliwag!”
“Seedot! Go!”
“Poliwag use watergun!” Seedot was pushed against a tree, by the force of the water.
“Seedot! Are you alright?” Seedot quickly got up, and nodded his head at me. He had a confident look in his eyes.
“Good! Lets use bide!” Seedot squinted his eyes, and started storing energy.
“Poliwag use tackle!” Rubin ordered. The round pokemon ran right into my Seedot, but Seedot hardly moved. I was really impressed. He just kept storing energy, just like I ordered.
“How are you going to beat me with that wimpy thing Ian?!” Rubin yelled. Seedot opened his eyes and nodded. I knew he was ready. I smiled.
“Like this.”
“Seedot use bide!”The explosion that followed was awesome. The feeling of success, of how it felt for me and Seedot's work put in success, was amazing.
“How could you defeat me!” Rubin screeched.
“Leave us alone Rubin! Your helpless with no pokemon to fight!”
“Fine, I'll go, but I will defeat you some day, and you'll be begging for mercy when I do!” Then he finally ran off.
“C'mon Ian, we still have to tell mom!” Gwyn yelled. Then she ran towards home.
“Wait up!” I called, and we ran home.
“Hey Mom?” Gwyn asked “We have something to tell you.” Mom surprisingly took it really well. She smiled and grinned, like as if she was remembering a nice memory.
“Okay honey. You should just have fun and be safe. Just make sure to call e-eve-every” this is when she balled up in tears. Gwyn and I left to go get whatever Prof. Birch wanted to give.
“Okay Mr. Birch you wanted to gave something to us?”
“Yes, to start your adventure you will need these.” He handed us both five pokeballs.
“Thank you Prof. Birch.” Gwyn said, then we both went back home to start packing.
“Clothes?”
“Check.”
“Money?”
“Check.”
“Data kit?”
“Check.”
“Food?”
“Camera?”
“Check.”
“Okay, that's it Gwyn, we're both done.” I said. We walked into the room with our backpacks. Mom was looking through our baby pictures.
“Okay Mom, we're about to go.” I said.
“O-okay...you call every week, okay?”
“We will.” Gwyn said.
“Okay, you two, good luck on your adventure.”
And with the simple movement of shutting a door, our great adventure as pokemon trainers began.
