BW/BW2 Pokemon RNG

I saw a thread on smog on that slaked about manipulating the RNG for pokemon to automatically see perfect wild pokemon or to breed shinies. Is that hacking the game cause I want it to be legal...

No. It's perfectly legal.

The only hacking involved might be the deducing of your secret ID, since the only current legit way is to catch a 1 in 8192 shiny. It was that way in the Emerald and the 4th Gen games, but easier methods were developed.

But to answer your question, no, this involves no hacking. Just a will and determination (not exactly as easy as saying "I want this Pokemon with 31 IVs in every stat *caught*").

Edit: @pokemon99 Yes, but that's in 4th Gen. Since this thread is in 5th Gen, I would assume the OP means RNG in BW.

You could use the Lottery method, or you can use chained shinies to find your secret ID.
