pokemon tcg terminology

what are some terms i would hear at a league or tourmanent and be confused about.

i hear words like tech and stuff and am lost.

i collected from 99-03 and these 08 terms have me scrathing my head.

Tech is a pokemon that's not supposed to attack most of the time, but is useful in another way. Claydol does not attack, but it's power is used for drawing. Claydol is a tech.
