Chapter 1 -- Renaissance
The dust settled, and there was life.After the battle, after the war, and after the destruction, came rebirth.
A large congregation of people awoke in a large and empty field. In this nihilistic portrait of mankind, arose the heroes of yesterday, resolved to the problems of now.
They stood up, one by one, and craned their necks to ponder over their location. They split into two groups. One group wore jackets of green and blue, with an insignia on the torso. The insignia showed two arrows intersecting. The other group wore black and red jackets with a different insignia. This insignia showed the initials “RA” along with a dark black line running through the center.
They looked to the sky, but what they saw was not the promising glimmer of the heavens, but some warped and hellish atmosphere. It was painted with streaks of black and purple, and waves of distortion littered the sky.
One distinct man arose of this group. He wore a red cap with a semi-circle above the brim. He had a red sweater with white short sleeves, openly displaying his popped collar. He turned from the group, and as a true messiah, all the others turned to follow.
They walked until they met a sign posted on a roadway which led into a small town.
“Welcome to Pallet Town”
