Chapter One: A new Trainer in Isen Town

Bleep Bleep Bleep At the third bleep, Josh Terron slammed down on his alarm clock and jumped out of the bed. The black-haired youth yawned as he made his way to his closet, where he found his black outfit hung. The outfit was brand new and included a black jacket, black pants, and a grey shirt. He quickly changed his clothes and then pulled out his gold headband. Afterwards, he rushed downstairs and sat at the table, eager for food.

"Well, good morning, Josh," said Josh's mother as she sat his breakfast down in front of him. It was a blue plate with three pancakes stacked on top of one another. "Happy 12th Birthday!"

"Thanks, mom," Josh told her, with a smile on his face. He then began eating until the plate was empty and sat it in the sink.

"Well, I suppose now you're off to get your starter Pokemon." said his mother. She then walked over to Josh and gave him a hug. "Its finally time. My boy has grown up to be a Pokemon Trainer."

"Don't worry, mom," said Josh, breaking away from the hug and heading for the door. "I will contact you whenever I get the chance. Bye, Mom."

"Good-bye, my son," said his mother, wiping a tear from her eye. "Have a safe journey." At that, Josh closed the door to his home forever.

It was a nice sping morning outside as Josh began walking down the forest path. His house was between the beach and the forested Isen Town. As he walked, he saw some Pokemon paying with each other and smiled.

Eventually, the path finally came to a close as he entered the small town of Isen. The town was small, but one building stood out, The Isen Town Gildor League Headquarters. It was all white and stood in the middle of a ring of wooden houses,

Smiling to himself, Josh headed towards the building. That was when a young man came running out. He had on a blue outfit and was panting for breath.

"Whats going on?" asked Josh.

"Please, you need to help," said the other. "Professor-in-dang-" He couldn't finish the words because at that time he fell to the floor and a Pokeball rolled out of his hand. Josh picked it up and looked at the seemingly normal building.

"Doesn't look like much danger," said Josh. "But I can't say for sure. I need to go check it out." He took a look at the Pokeball before throing it into the air. "Alright, whatever you are, Come out and maybe you can help out."

As soon as he said those words, the Pokeball enlargened and a small little hound with a silver skull flashed out onto the ground. The hound was black and had an orange stomach.

"Alright, hello Houndour," said Josh, kneeling down and rubbing the hound's skull cap. "You ready to help the professor." The Houndour gave an affirmative yap and raced to the entrance of the building.

"Here we go," said Josh as he entered the building alongside Houndour.

I had to close your other thread because it was just a shorter duplicate of this one. Frankly, this still seems shorter than one thousand words, but that may also be just because I'm reading it via phone at the moment. However, I still need to advise you to keep your chapters near the minimum length requirement. We've had problems with people posting ridiculously short fics that ultimately just had to be considered spam because they were poorly written and some people liked posting tons of them at once. Also, make sure you keep your chapters/updates to this story in this thread. That was another problem since it made the forums look really unorganized in the past.

Chapter Two: Meeting the Shadows

As soon as Josh enetred, he knew something was up. The building was in darkness and all the doors were broken open. Houndour seemed to notice it too because he kept his mouth shut. Josh motioned for Houndour to follow him as he walked down the hallway.

Suddenly, the two came across a door where Josh heard some talking going on.

"You heard from the boss yet," said one voice, which sounded like ice. "He stil haven't shown up. Instead he wants his general to take care of his work, I still don't get it, you Rone."

"No, but still, Zaron is perfectly well-equipped to find this Glacier Stone," came a female voice. "I am pretty sure that pathetic professor has given up trying to disobey the Shadow Lord." Then Josh heard some static on a radio.

"What, somebody's eavesdropping on us." said the icy male. "Rone, go see who it is."

At that, Josh knew he has been spotted. The female stepped out of the door and saw the two on the ground.

"Hey, kid, whatcha doing?" asked Rone. "You cannot possibly think that you are going to walk away now, do you?"

Josh gulped and then grinned. "Wel, if you put it that way, then I would say no. But My Houndour could take you on anyday."

"Is that so?" said Rone. "Rogastar, show this kid what we do to trespassers." All of a sudden, a black ninja appeared next to Rone and extended two deadly blades from under his wrist. Houndoor saw the Rogastar and made a soft growl.

"Houndour, you think you could take them," asked Josh. Houndour gave an affirmitive growl and knelt to the ground. "Houndour, Quick Attack."

"Rogastar, Shadow Dash those weaklings." Rogastar suddenly vanished as Houndour dashed into Rone. Then a cloud of darkness rose out of the ground and envelpoed Houndour. Then Houndour began getting hit by invisible punches before he went flying backwards. The cloud then took the shape of Rogastar again.

I haven't read this, but it's short. Did you read the rules? Or does it have maybe 800 words at least? Also, I think the "bleep bleep" part should be changed to "beep beep" because I think it says a bad word.

That's not even 300 words, sir. You need at least 1000 words per entry post. If you don't want to make Chapter Two longer, post Chapter Three and even Four with it as long as the 1000 word requirement is satisfied.
