well i just got home from seeing transformers for the second time in a week and wondering if its at all possible to build a competitive deck in which the strategy dramatically changes based on whats being played against you at the moment.

i was thinking that the heart of the deck would revolve around a central support card but would shift - kinda like how Sablelock was where you would be able to use what you had to pull a win out.

Easy. Use a card that serves dual purposes. Or make a Cinncinno deck. Whichever suits your style.

I've been playtesting a Donphan/Yanmega/Zoroark deck, and it really feels like this kind of ever-changing Toolbox style of deck. Trading attackers for the situation when something comes up works flawlessly, and the weaknesses of the deck are perfectly balanced. It's not something as disruptive as Sablelock was, but I do suggest a deck with a variety of attackers (preferably quick ones), as that will achieve the feeling you want out of a deck.

dmaster out.

Why I said Cinncinno. With one DCE, it can do a full frontal assault for 120 with no setbacks. Your bench doesn't have to have any specific pokemon, so it can be filled with pokemon with different uses, like Slowking for Lock, Honchkrow for snipe, etc.

I also recommend Zoroark. Using whatever the opponent has against them is always fun =]

Does 100, it doesn't count cinccino itself. My ZPSmega deck has many strategic ways to deal dmg, also nice interruption with judges.

I've always liked decks like this, like you run a million different Pokémon and use whichever one is the best in the situation. Like an SP toolbox.
While it doesn't have too much variety, I might check out Kingdra/ Mandibuzz/ Zoroark.
