Hello,
after attending a CS pre-release I've been looking at getting back into the game. I'll be upfront in saying that in all my years of playing the TCG I only play off meta decks.
I was interested in playing a swampert based deck because of his built in draw power and ability to do large amounts of damage.
Here is a deck list, I'd appreciate some help with it.
Total- 63 (please help me work this down)
Pokemon- 17
4 Mudkip CS 32
2 Marshtomp CS 34
4 Swampert CS 35
4 Alolan Vulpix GR 21
2 Alolan Ninetails BS 28
1 Rayquaza GR 106
Trainers- 32
4 Cynthia UP 119
1 Acerola BS 112
1 Guzma BS 115
1 Cyrus (Prism Star) UP 120
3 Mallow GR 127
4 Rare Candy SM 129
3 Switch SM 132
2 Ultra Ball SM 135
4 Aqua Patch GR 119
2 Choice Band GR 121
2 Field Blower GR 125
2 Rescue Stretcher GR 130
1 Wishful Baton BS 128
2 Brooklet Hill GR 120
Energy- 14
13 Water Energy
1 Double Colorless Energy SM 136
The basic idea is to get alolan vulpix out and start building up a swampert. He is both the main draw power and attacker for the deck. Al ninetails is a good counter for GXs since I already run water energies. Rayquaza may be good for getting some energies back onto a swampert, but I'm not sold on having him in here. I like 3 mallow because I can pick cards and immediately draw them with swampert.
I don't really know the meta that well at the moment but I figure I can 1 or 2 shot anything with swampert as he deals 140 base damage and can add up from there with choice band and aqua patches.
Any help in making this list better would be greatly appreciated! (I'm not adding Tapu leles btw)
