Potential Extended Format Decks

I am sure I am not the only one who is wondering, what are some BW-on decks that we could see in the Extended format? I will list some that I have heard about to start and I will update the list as more responses come in. Also, please feel free to discuss why you think certain decks could be good for this format.

RayEels
Landorus Variants
Yveltal/Darkai
Yveltal/Garbodor
Sableye Variants
Virgen Variants
Accelgor Lock (Trevenant)
Elektrik Variants with Rainbow/Prism Energy (Yveltal/Eelektrik) (Eelektross) (Mew)
Aromatisse Variants with Rainbow/Prism Energy
Klinklang
Plasma (TDK) (Lugia)
Fairy Box
Gardevoir

-Sableye varients
-VirGen varients
-Accelgor lock decks.
-Eelektrik varients with rainbow energy (imagine Yveltal with Eelektrik)

Aromatisse variants (forgot about prism energy). Also worth mentioning is the Eelektross from Plasma Blast; the perfect counter for Pyroar in eels.

Holy crap YveltalEels seems so good. Maybe klinklang...

What would Yveltal/Eelektrik offer over Rayquaza/Eelektrik? I don't see the advantage...

And the Team Plasma decks will return too.

It would avoid the Druddigon revenge kills, thats the only advantage I could see.

I prefer playing RayEels over Yveltal/Eels because Rayquaza EX's weakness isn't as common.

You could always use both <insert meme here>
The major perk that stood out to me would be having an insanely better Garbodor matchup AND resisting Fighting. Not to mention avoiding Druddigon revenges like Moses said a few posts above. Also there is the bonus of having Y Cyclone's utility and not losing all your energies while attacking.

Rayquaza does hit OHKOs easier, so I'll give you that, but that's about where it ends.

I'd like to remind you all to discuss why you think certain decks are good, not simply list them. (I know some of you are actually discussing these decks, so good for those people! :D)

Honestly, Ray/Eels seems really good in Extended. Without Catcher, it's going to be incredibly hard to kill Eels repeatedly, even with Landorus, and Raikou EX can easily KO Garbodor, so that's not even an issue. You can also run plenty of techs to deal with Druddigon and Klinklang. I think this deck will stay the most dominant deck in extended for a long time.

That's what I'm thinking. Prism/Rainbow energy can provide any type. The deck always had that option with prism last format, but now that there's more stuff, you can go crazy. Yveltal was the most obvious choice, but there are several possibilities.

Keep in mind that Eelektrik cannot accelerator Prism and Rainbow energy due both providing only [C] while in the discard pile.

If Ray/Eels are going to be a dominant deck, what decks are going to be made to counter it? A deck with a higher count Garbodor line?

I built Meweels. It is pretty much the only deck I really like that will be good. (4 Electric+DCE)*20=120 damage.

When did decks stop having cool names like Primetime, Haymaker, and PLOX. We need more cool names. We need names that aren't mashups of the cards.

I like how Accelgor is pretty much the most broken card ever, and Deck and Cover's only weakness is if he is the only one on the field. Accelgor/Trevenant will come back sadly.

Honestly, Fairy Box will probably be a fantastic Extended deck (since it honestly sucks in Standard now). It can run counters to just about any matchup, and has energy acceleration that is just as good if not better than Eels. Plus, the ability to move Energy around is great.

Because the deck dies to Pyroar otherwise, maybe KlingKling can put in that Dark stadium that negates weakness. They have access to both prism and rainbow energy so can also benefit from Darkrai's dark cloak and Virizion's verdant wind. Also, Klang is a plasma pokemon so you can at least get rainbow energy back with Thundurus (though I'd consider plasma Kyurem against other fire types).

Gardevoir: With the upcoming psychic stadium that decreases attack costs by C, Gardy could allow anything that has a PPC attack cost to attack for essentially one P. For that cost, Mewtwo EX can do 120 with psy drive, Chandelure EX could do 70 plus burn and confuse, and Toxicroak EX could do 80 while ignoring resistance. For non EX, there's Giratina PLS, which can do 50+50 if poisoned for P and then a single colress machine allows for 90 with the bonus of discarding energy and also Sigilyph. Not to mention the upcoming Gengar EX and M Gengar EX.

The thread has somehow merged all the posts. My apologies. I will try my best to fix it.

Edit: Alright so apparently there is no way to fix it. :(

If you would like to be credited for a post you made in this thread, you can drop Machamp The Champion a profile comment and he will edit your name into the original post next to the post you made.

Treegor is broken in this format. It may be the only reason people dare bring VirGen.

EDIT: Just realized that this post, my usertitle, and my sig are about TreeGor...
