Hey,
I took my exam recently for the first time after coming to this tcg for real for the first time in ages, I know the basic rules and have learnt a few things here and there. But there is something I feel like I should know that I'm currently not too sure on, and this is something that came up on the exam.
What is the priority hierarchy/ system for attacks, abilities, attack abilities and other effects?
The questions was something like: Pokemon x attacks y, both are at 10 hp, x has an effect that heals for 20, y has something that does damage back (can't remember what the number was, inclined to believe it was 10.) what is the outcome?
basically, does the 10 damage get done back first, or the does the heal come in and save it? what is the official ruling?
EDIT: An unrelated issue, regarding this new "defending pokemon" ruling saying that any pokemon taking damage is considered the defender, what was the defending pokemon considered to be before? the opponents active pokemon?
