Olivia:
Olivia – Trainer
Supporter

Search your deck for up to 2 Pokemon-GX and put them into your hand. Then shuffle your deck.

You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).

STRATEGY:
As quickly as you can discard/attach a ton of [P] Energy. Then pile 3-4 on Necrozma using Metagross. And, no, it isn't hard to get out 3-4 Metagross, I always do it with the Metagross deck that I use ;)

So what's the use of Metagross? Just the energy-attaching ability?
From the looks of things, yes it is, so Necrozma can spam Prismatic Burst every turn. The deck also has ways to get Metagross out of the active if it gets Lysandred out (Escape Rope, Geotech System x3, then retreating, though the latter will cost Necrozma an attack for the turn).

Yep, Metagross would mostly be used for Energy recycling/attachment - ideally from Bench position if Necrozma-GX is Active.

I personally use 1 AOR Metagross (with the Ability, not the one with Ancient Trait) while it's still legal for Standard... Practically 1 free Guzma effect every turn should you need it. I'm expecting GRI Metagross-GX's card value to increase in the probable case that this deck becomes meta-good. @___@

I hope it gets meta-good, but unfortunately I'm seeing more field blowers in decks, rendering Altar Sunne useless. On top of that, there are more than a few players in my league that are trying to run Turtonator decks. Might become a thing.

My friend was looking into building a Metagross deck a couple of weeks ago and I was telling him that Necrozma is the perfect partner. I think one thing to add here would be come Metal energy to be able to use Metagross in a pinch. I get what everyone is saying bout field blowers and stadiums, but in practice, there isn't a guarantee that they will have a FB on demand. You might loose it, but its worth it in the right matches to potentially keep from being OHKO. I REALLY want to see this deck in action!

Sad that garbodor makes phsycic weak decks practically uselesd

Agreed, you have to manage your items even more against any psy decks, but I think this deck could potentially play quick enough that it's not the worst thing ever. I've watched Metagross decks get set up pretty quickly, and usually garb isn't the first attacker. Against Drampa/Garb I think this deck can do REALLY well. Espeon/Garb is a different struggle.

With Necrozma? Yeah, as long as you got the energy in your hand, you can OHKO just 'bout anything.

Mew from shining legends would be a great addition to this deck, as it can accelerate energy onto necrozma.

I would lose both Escape Ropes for two Float Stones, just personal preference though. Consider losing an Olivia for a 2nd Brigette, Brigette is more essential IMO as you have Vulpix to search for the Metagross line and you do still have the one Olivia. Lose Ninja Boy for a fourth N, without VS Seeker you need lots of draw supporters to fill the gap. Lose a Rescue Stretcher for a Wicke or Hala for the same reasons as adding the fourth N. I would also consider losing Mew for a fourth Necrozma, I don't see it being used much. I would also lose one [M] Energy for a second Field Blower as it's your only way to bump Stadiums, and Metagross can still use Giga Hammer since its attack cost is [M][M][C]. Other than those things, the list looks good :)

The problem with that is if one is prized than you can't use it :/ I'll do your other suggestions though.

(Sidenote: is anyone else having an issue where after typing a capital letter you get a hashtag?)

EDIT: should I tech in some weakness policies for Garb?

I've been testing a deck similar to this in expanded and I do think Weakness Policy is a good fit. Not necessarily for Garbodor but for Tapu Lele, who for DCE and Choice Band can OHKO a Necrozma that has an energy attached. This isn't really a problem come late game when you're discarding all your energy anyway but when you're setting up and making manual attachments, its just too easy for your opponent to get 2 prizes with a card that is literally played in every deck.

Also by the time this format comes, people will have a basic supporter line up w/out VS Seeker but what you have seems good to me.

Lastly, if you can make space, try the deck with Po Town. It lets you still one-shot cards like Ninetales, Lycanroc, Goliscopod, and Muk (if the latter two receive play) with 3 energies on Necrozma.
