Probably a dumb holographic question...

I have an English holo Fossil Zapdos, but it's printed with the Japanese "cluster" holo (the kind that's used on all holos today), as opposed to the then-used American "starry" holo.

I fell out of collecting around the time Fossil came out, so I don't know if it's a second printing run of the set, or an error. Probably a second printing, but I've never seen it before so I was wondering if any of you have information about it.

Thanks.

RE: Probably a dumb question...

I have that Zapados. It might be worth something if it is first edition, but I don't think that most people would care otherwise. I'm not sure about the printing data, but it was probably printed right before it went out of print.

As far as I know, all jp holos have the "clustery" holo. I am not sure if it was different in Fossil.

The card is in English.

That particular Zapdos card was included in the "Thunderstorm" gift box. It was an "alternate" foil card, unique to the deck in that gift box. So that "alternate" foil card wasn't ever included in a booster pack. If I recall correctly, that gift box was released a few sets after they changed the foil for the American cards. (Around the time of Gym Heroes.)

Excellent, thank you!
