when one use a card that allows he/she to search deck for 2 basic pokemons and put it onto bench, can we put a baby pokemon (considered as a basic) onto bench and put it evolve pokemon onto it?

examples: when one using a plusle (deoxys)

attacks: search your deck for 2 basic pokemon and put it onto
your bench.

can he/she search for a magby, put it onto bench, then search for a magmar and put it onto magby?
cauze both cards are considered basic pokemon.

yes, because Baby pokemon is a pokemon basic, only remember that you evolved in Magmar, is a Basic-Evolved pokemon.

If the attack says to put them staight to your bench, you can't put the other one on the top of the other. That would be considered evolution, and that can happen only from your hand in the case of Magby. You have to put both the pokemon you choose on to your bench separetly.

yeah? snasel and lugia have different opinions. which sould i listen
cauze it might change my strategy

They're thinking that you're asking whether you can search for a Magby. They obviously didn't actually read the question...

Agree, they did not read the above part, so I think my answer is the right one to your "real" question.. :D:p

I'm talking to you as well, PPM. His question is whether he can put both on top of each other as a CFF attack.

No. By the time you use Baby-Evo, he's already on the bench.

You're right. Sorry, I got confused with another card... :)

You couldnt evolve into Magmar. The only way Magby can be evolved is through baby evolution, which can only take place when on your turn, and you've attacked so your turn is thus over.

err, Baby evolution is a poke-power not an attack...

as long as we don't finish the attack, our turn is not over. so i want a clear answer, can we or can't we?

No, you cant.

Either way, read baby evolution.

"Once during your turn ,(before you attack)...."

Perhaps this will help to clarify things up;

== BABY EVOLUTION (several - EX:Sandstorm)

Q. For the Pokémon with the power "Baby Evolution", can I use this power to attach its evolved form on the same turn it comes into play?
A. Baby Evolution can be played on the first turn that Pokémon is in play, even if it is the first turn of the game. (Sep 11, 2003 PUI Rules Team; Jul 22, 2004 PUI Rules Team)

Q. Does the "Baby Evolution" Poké-POWER get turned off when affected by a Special Condition? It doesn't say so on the card.
A. Baby Evolution is unique as a Poké-POWER. It is not turned off by Special Conditions. (Sep 11, 2003 PUI Rules Team)

Q. If I use "Baby Evolution" to evolve Pichu into Pikachu, or Wynaut into Wobbuffet, is the resulting Pokémon. (Pikachu, Wobbuffet, etc.) considered an "Evolved Pokémon.", or is it still considered as a "Basic Pokémon."?
A. Any time you evolve a Pokémon. into another stage, it is considered to be an "Evolved Pokémon.", even if the words written on the card say "Basic". Alternatively, the quick and dirty way to figure this out is...is there a Pokémon. underneath it? If yes, then it's evolved. (Jan 22, 2004 PUI Rules Team)

Q. If EX-Sandstorm Pichu's "Baby Evolution" power is turned off by Muk's "Toxic Gas" power, does that mean that it cannot evolve into Pikachu?
A. Pichu's Baby Evolution is the only way it evolves to Pikachu. If that is turned off, Pichu can't evolve. (Sep 11, 2003 PUI Rules Team)

Q. Can Elekid evolve into "Electabuzz EX" since Quilava can evolve into "Typhlosion EX"?
A. Elekid's Baby Evolution states it can evolve into Electabuzz. Electabuzz and Electabuzz EX are two different names, thus considered two different Pokémon. So the answer to this question is "no". (Sep 11, 2003 PUI Rules Team)

Q. Does Mt. Moon shut off the "Baby Evolution" Pokémon Power?
A. Yes, it does. (Dec 9, 2004 PUI Rules Team)

Q. If a Pokémon uses "Baby Evolution", does it trigger Shiftry-EX's "Dark Eyes"?
A. No. The Pokémon that used "Baby Evolution" is actually no longer in play. (Nov 16, 2006 PUI Rules Team)

*looks through*

Actually, it didn't. There is no mention of searching or bench-placing in there. However, it did explain the question I got wrong in the quiz... I just assumed that the damage done was instantly healed anyway.

so, we can't evolve a magby into a magmar when we used an attack that allow us to search 2 basic pokemon. or can't we?
