Ruling Protecting the bench

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I was wondering if Cloyster d (DF) Solid Shell would protect your bench from things like Flygon ex (DF) Sand Damage and Psychic Pulse and Dragonite ex (DF) Dragon Roar?

Or would Dugtrio (CG) be better?

Psychic Pulse = attack, so yes
Sand Damage = Poke-Body, so no
Dragon Roar = attack, so yes

In a deck with all detla pokemon Cloyster d is much better. In a mixed deck or one that's non-delta Dugtrio is better.

No ... and there are TONS of decks that target the bench in one way or another now.  I just posted about this yesterday ironcially.  :)

Actually, if I'm correct, Dragon Roar does still get through Cloyster and Dugtrio, because the attack uses damage counters, not actual damage.

you are not Correct. Cloyster Stops all Effect of attack to the Bench
 
Ah, I see. I should've checked in the carddex before I posted that, I thought Cloyster's and Dugtrio's bodies had the same effect. It still gets past Dugtrio though, right?
 
Yes. Dugtrio Only Stops the Damage. Dragon's Roar Would Affect Dugtrio, But not Cloyster d
